All love. But Truly there’s no such thing as getting too “into the Jewish roots”. Every time YHWH sends messengers they stack new rules on the foundation. Yahshua never eliminated anything except the need for ritual sacrifice and washing our sins away via asking Him for forgiveness. But the rest is still law. So the Hebraic roots is where we need to be. I pray for you all my Christian brothers and sisters so that Yahshua may bring you into his true intended walk of life. Yeah it’s harder, but never as difficult compared to what our King suffered through. Shalom and one love to you all. B’shem Yahshua Ha Mashiach.

It's a good translation for jewish insights on scripture. The Tanach is based on the JPS translation with minor changes made by Dr Stern. The Brit Hadash is a dynamic equivalent translation to help convey Jewish idioms and and ideas to the modern English reader. He uses the Alexandrian texts for his translation which will disappoint KJV preferred believers. However because it is not a formal equivalent translation for serious 'word' study. An interlinear would be a better option for such study. This translation also contains Yiddish words as well as Hebrew words. The Study Bible version omits the Yiddish words. David Stern's New Testament commentary is also most helpful.

Don't be so concerned with people getting "too into the Jewish roots", God knew what he was doing from the beginning.
@theh.o.p.e.channelwhoyouar7614
YESSSS. That caught my attention too. How could anyone be "too concerned with getting into the Jewish roots." The WHOLE Bible is a Jewish story, written by Jews *(yes I think its been a great misnomer Luke was Greek) Yeshua (no Joseph in Hebrew) was a Jewish Rabbi, educated and raised in all Jewish customs and tradition, He TAUGHT the Law, oh yes-- Gal 4:4 ...born under the Law. He was SENT to 'the LOST sheep of THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL." Messianic is the true Faith and 'religion of the complete Bible....not Christianity not orthodox Judaism-- both lean heavily on. What man thinks and has said. Oh yes we all need to dive deeply into " the Jewish roots" It is the ROOT!! THEE JEWISH root, if you are Gentile you've been grafted in...ALL JOIN the root, not the other way around. Its like buttoning a shirt, if you start off misaligned, the whole is off kilter.....THATS christianity

Thank you for your review, actuallly it is not such a Jewish bible, e.g. Marc 15:28, Mat 12:47 are also missing. Compared with the KJV a lot of important words are missing. Also is this missing from 1John 5:7 "in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one" A lot of messianic believers don't belief in the Trinity and the Deity of Yeshua anymore One example: CJB 1Tim 3: 16 He was manifested physically KJV 1Tim 3: 16 God was manifest in the flesh, I have seen many people lose their faith in Yeshua, I am very grateful to God for keeping my faith in His Son Yeshua (amazing GRACE) My CJB disappeared into the recycle bin, the proper place for this bible. I am almost 25 years active in the Messianic movement and was for 15 years an elder in Beth Yeshua Amsterdam.

I think it would be beneficial to do a review of the Cepher Bible. It's the most popular right now amongst the 'Yahusha' groups of sacred namers. The thing really is trash because of their changing The Name of Messiah and the process they use to change it has been investigated by experts of Hebrew who have all rejected the process and the resulted 'Yahusha' proposition, partly because there are NO examples of the variant in ANY ancient texts. These are perhaps some of those that Professor Steve mentioned go really far into the 'Hebrew Roots' type scenerio accept that they take it too far and outside the realms of academia into falsehood. The Cepher is being bought in droves and many people are getting deceived into advocating for a 'name' that cannot save anyone.

Acts 4:12 (KJV) - Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

You must call upon the name of Jesus to be saved. No other name works, unless you're using a translation of Jesus because you're foreign.
@jewelp081

They reject the name of jesus and don’t even say amen. It’s really demonic. It’s a false Gospel and it goes even deeper than that. They are bound by the old covenant and not grace.

@@armourofgod8783 also, jesus, yeshua, etc works. Language holds the same weight if it’s the same word in a different language. God understands. I was really deep in the occult and demons showed me so much and it’s really just the Bible upside down. And then the Holy Spirit came to me and revealed to me the truth of it all. God bless

I found it interesting how the KJV said in Matthew that Joseph was married to Mary before Yeshua's birth, whereas, the Hebrew got it correct where it says "husband-to-be"...bethrothed, meaning engaged, thus, no yet married. Plus, I love how they use the correct Hebrew names for people, places and things....Yosef vs Joseph. I have this and use it for comparison. Just bought the Complete Jewish Study Bible which goes into greater detail as well. I also have a Hebrew Bible that uses the rightful names for The Father and The Messiah....Yahuah and Yahusha. Messianic Jews use Adonai, Elohim for The Father and Yeshua for The Messiah. That is a FREE Translation called Hallelujah Scriptures and I just paid for shipping, and the text is the 1900 KJV, except for the names of The Father and The Messiah.

I have this bible. It's good for witnessing to Jewish folks because of the Messianic prophecy references which the book has in abundance. Here is my favorite verse in this translation, it's Phil 2:11 "and every tongue will acknowledgeb that Yeshua the Messiah is ADONAI - to the glory of God the Father." This bible is great for introducing Jewish folks to oneness doctrine, even though Stern is Trinitarian.

Luke was writing about king Herod. I assume Luke was quoting Herod ! ( Herod being a pagan) In the book of Luke he always used Passover.

I am a born again Christian and just bought this and waiting it's arrival do you think it was a wise buy? I bought it as really want to learn original words meanings ect as I learned Revelation 18:23 was not anywhere near a proper explanation with the word Sorceries and when searching myself online after being told it's deeper full meaning I was blown away in Strong Greek Concordance to learn the real word Pharamakia and the real meaning of the word and how scripture was playing out before my eyes and my own King James was not properly accurate.

a very good video , very accurate analysis from a very strong pastor here ! i bought this bible , and i will use it more as a translation tool only ...in the introduction , we can read something like '' new testament without the old testament is an heresy , and the old testament without the new , is incomplete'' or in the next page '' the new testament alone is like a house second floor without the first , and the Old testament alone is like a house without the roof '' the allusion is very clear , the old testament is more important and by far ...this book is an attempt to recover the christians faith on the basis of the judaism origins ....it's a great historical document , if you want to understand the very early christain faith from years 35 to 50 just before Paul's ministry.
@J_Fine1582

The “early ‘Christian’ faith?“ You mean that of the Holy Spirit-filled believers/apostles who learned at Jesus’ feet? HE, not Paul, is the One we are following, yes? Sounds like a positive to me. Especially given how misunderstood Paul was...according to scripture and another very formidable apostle. Forgive me, but your comment makes it sound as if you think there were changes made at some point after Paul’s ministry began. It’s not like Paul converted. He was a Jew-a Pharisee, and remained one, again, according to Paul’s own writing.

My question is why anyone needs to rewrite the bible. I had never seen the name adonai until a comment on youtube, and that took me into research of where they get (this) name. She said it was written in Isaiah 24:14-15. Really?! You say there now is a bible that has the name written in that scripture?..why? Who dares to add or take away 1 word? Did they not read Revelation?
