I was an sdm in Afghanistan in 2009-2010 and was issued a ebr rifle. They tried swapping it out in March 2010 for an sr25 but I refused. My command stuck up for my decision and even helped me get replacement parts out of operational discretionary funds. I am currently trying to get a copy of my rifle together so I can use it for my annual wounded warrior hunting trip. I wish I could afford the correct parts and for smith to build me one but I cannot. I just finished my gunsmithing degree as part of my rehab and am finishing up a degree in homeland security. I am 100% disabled/ service connected and appreciate the work they did, im certain that without the fine rifle I was issued, myself and my team would not be here today.
I ordered a gas block and shim kit from them 2 months ago and haven't even gotten an email confirming the order or given a tracking number. The 1 time they answered when I called about it, they just said I should get it soon. No response to emails about it. In short, their customer service is terrible.
I have a Springfield M1A loaded version this is very interesting I'm going to give them a call I don't have time to shoot it as much as I would like maybe this will spur me on thanks for the great video man
Anyone heard of Alan Baker, USMC? I've got a couple SWEET M1As that he "single-lugged"....like a couple decades ago...but, it's all good. It's REALLY a great rifle, with just a few tweaks. They ALWAYS go "BANG!"....and a good one with a heavy Douglas barrel can group TIGHT at 600...even hit beer cans, pretty much every time.
It was a sad day when I went to pick up my M-14 service rifle to report for duty but was given the black rifle instead, the M-16A1, 9/1969 - U.S. Army. 1407913 #25 weapon the M-16A1.
Thank the armorers who are no longer their, your smoking crack if you think he came up with it on his own. He also has great reps in court and at the pat. office
I absolutely love my M1A and it was one of my first rifles. Nine Hold Reviews do a great video on the M21. While they are reliable the accuracy has a life span and after a couple thousand rounds must be reworked. It's also not as tough as other weapon systems.
You’re probably better off converting a mini 14 to .243, it’s chambered in 2 intermediate cartridges to begin with (556 nato, or mini 30 in 7.62x39) unlike the larger M1a. It would be completely useless in cycling those tiny cartridges in the M1a. Mini 14 would be perfect
CRAZY HORSE... Intersting...often called the bravest of the brave. Never went to West Point, but frequently out genered many who did. Never had the benefit of an "industrial complex" just fantomless courage and love for his people. Intentionally murdered by racists who feared him and hated him because they knew they could never take that spirit away from him. Interesting...like GERONIMO!!
Awesome...in the USAF in 1965 were were still shooting M1 carbines!..I know that's hard to believe but it's true..I'm in basic, 17 and go to the range...the rangemaster hands out M1's...I called my dad later...he was in the 4th Marine Division in the Pacific..he started laughing! I digress..these weapons are awesome..I would love to own one....
