I would like a cab game like ETS2 where you strt from scratch and build a company and expand, get more cars, hire drivers. Maybe add some luxury items to your car to stay ahead of the competition.
I like your review, it makes a lot of very interesting points! see what you're saying most of the time but in all honesty I absolutely love the game! I genuinely think people have got the wrong end of the stick about neo cab! It's more of an interactive book then a game with wild game mechanics, that's just my opinion! :D
Great review. I played through the demo. Not my usual type of game, but it seemed well- executed fo what it is, particularly in terms of the writing. I loved the first two Crazy Taxi games back in the day. Great versions on the Dreamcast. I never entirely mastered the advanced controls, which seemed to plateau how far I could progress, given the tight time controls. But I still got tons of enjoyment out of them.
I think it's smart of you to focus on games that bigger outlets skip over. I played Subsurface Circular and then The Red Strings Club (or whatever it was called). I liked the latter, not the former so much. This Neo Cab feels like another one of those and I think it's enough for me for now, especially considering your comments on it. Thanks!
Hope I'm not butting in here, but I noticed you mentioned playing The Red Strings Club. If you enjoyed that offering, I'd *highly* recommend The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood. It's by the same devs, and even has a Red Strings Easter egg thrown in for good measure. It's a truly special game, with high replay value (imo, at least! I gave it 4 runs last winter, lol). Very unique and offbeat. It may not be for everyone, but I feel that it's a true gem. Anyway, regardless of whether or not it appeals to you, thank you for at least indulging my unsolicited ramblings... Have a good one!
Last Cap Driver told me he sells Amazing Products called Herbalife. I told him he should watch out with that, he might lose a few friends. He answered he already lost all of them, because they could not understand how good his Products are. I wished him good luck and gave him a tip. Poor soul. You know why? That guy ACTUALLY DROVE A CAB! WTF you are not even driving ... bro... What if she actually is a robot, the AI is driving while some Fat guy in his Gaming chair is just doing the talking with the clients remotely. Just so the clients feel as if they are talking to a real person. Damn this really is a future Job simulator.
Soo glad you covered this game! I will still give it a shot. QOTD, I’d love to be a taxi driver in the Fear Effect world. I wouldn’t hate the VA-11 HALL-A one either.
This looks pretty neat. Great concept. Shame they brain dumped It at the end. QOTD, anything but Grand Theft Auto. Phantasy star would be fun since there would be interplanetary travel.
I love this game so much, I'm the exact audience for it. Jaded, gay and done with capitalism. Also, the "final fight" with the best frienemy, oh my god. That was difficult to handle. Too real.
I'm surprised what you learn isn't carried over to later times of the game. I play a lot of text based games, and that's normally one of the biggest aspects. Anyways, in answer to the question, I'll say Capcom. In fact, I could imagine it could be called Cabcom, just to play on the words, and since there is Capcom VS Marvel, could throw in some Marvel characters too. 😉
Do you have any recommendations? I'm looking to pick one up to use for language-learning (Spanish), so am looking for something fun but not super technical.
@@JenMistress am not looking for one specifically meant for learning Spanish. But a lot of games have different language options. But I'll just get this one and play it in Spanish. The price is low and it looks interesting enough :)
I was actually about to check out the game until u told me the very very lazy ending that they just spouted out everything to u, like... wow... thanks man. Its not spoilers but i'm no longer interested in a game thats unfinished
