Nerf's really blowing their market. at this rate, i'm willing to bet that in 1-2 years, nerf will be as respected by the modding community as your local dollar store nerf ripoff. Dart zone, in comparison looks like it's gonna be nerf's replacement sooner or later for anyone above age 8
I have the doublefire (the double barrel shotgun that cost $10), the nexus pro, and two triad lookalikes that seem to shoot harder than actual triads. Dart Zone is way better than actual nerf now.
And that's different from Call of Duty or sports games? Pokemon games? Beyblades? Trading Cards? Cars? Computers? Legos? Most sets these days are just built with recolored bricks from older sets. Literally the most pointless comment.
These reviews are always so objective and concise. This is where everyone should go first for reviews of foam flinging things. I like other reviewers too but this is my favorite format no question.
It's kinda odd how the 2.0 series is trying to be tactical with all the rails. What ever happened to the modulus line? Wasn't the point of that line to be tactical with rails and MATCHING COLOR ATTACHMENTS? The 2.0 line has little to no accessories, and they don't even come it kits, you have to buy all the blasters for all the accessories. Just, Why?
This is the sad fact: even if they go back to elite 1.0 styling, or even if they DO start releasing old shells again, they’re probably gonna glue those shut too. We’ll be forced to buy the old products at higher prices from ebay and amazon instead of from hasbro.
They didn’t on the recent icons blasters. But yeah hasbro will have to walk back on these as these don’t have the same quality that hasbro is known for.
Hasbro could, yes. They've loads of money. If anything, they should release a simplified, lower-cost Perses with reduced performance and swappable hoppers. Ideally for the same price as a Stryfe.
I like the original Stryfe more than the "new Stryfe". Especially the Modulus Reskin. Edit: Should've watched further. Yeah. Stryfe's better. Mainly bc of the fricking glue of the Phoenix.
I have the new "battle camo" or whatever it's called and have lightly modded it and love it, however I wish it were the blue elite version. As for this 2.0 blaster, I had a couple in my Amazon cart to buy tomorrow until I found out it was glued shut, wtf hasbro???
@@pmm4177 Yeah. Don't know what they smoked when creating this blaster. Wanna mod my Modulus Stryfe, just a bit nervous bc I live in germany. I got it for like 60€. I know, not much, but it is/was only sold in America. Meaning if I break sth like the thermistor, it's gone. I don't know anyone (me included) who can solder (don't now how to write it)
I wonder why hasbro adds the most inappropriate attachments to these guns. No stock, no barrel, no grip. Just a scope on something that looks like an smg.
i honestly really admire the way coop has adapted to a different type of videos, i remember watching his videos around 3 years ago and really like them but now his reviews are super good for parents trying to buy their kid their first nerf gun and tells them the info simply and well, thanks for always making me happy as a kid!
I know you don’t like mixing your personal life in to RU-vid but gotta say your health looks like it improved a lot. It must take great effort to achieve this and I am glad your health is improving. Keep it up 👍!
I was excited for elite 2.0. Especially for the Warden and the Phoenix hoping the would be superior to their predecessors. Now I’m sad and I hope nerf recovers with their other stuff going forward.
I had a nerf Elite back in 2015 it was the Strongarm. It was fun to play with along with my crossbow. 7 years later I realized that the series is discontinued and now I feel old...
I laughed out loud when I saw this because the blaster has a very chonky, halo-type aesthetic, but it has a ridiculously large scope like a Star Wars gun
@@Ian260m or Dart Zone waffleheads. They're relatively cheap, have factory grade quality, and you're supporting Dart Zone. At this point, I'd rather have Dart Zone be the new #1 brand instead of Nerf
I feel like this is the best example of what the current blaster state is in. Dart Zone made the amazing spectrum that coop loved, and Hasbro made this non moddable excuse for a stryfe reskin. Also I like how coop recommended the spectrum along with the stryfe.
I really appreciate how fair you are at the end giving the two types of Nerfers (For Fun & For Glory, to borrow from Smash Bros) their possibly preferred option for either the Stryfe or Phoenix as they’re comparable. For my part I would have no choice to get the Phoenix if ever I wanted a semi-auto pistol because the Stryfe and Adventure Force blasters period are not available for me at all.
I’ve been watching this Channel since you getting your clear recon. Every single time a new nerf gun comes out I always come to this channel for a straight forward review!
Scope's secured in the package. They try to steal it, they'll have to cut the plastic straps, which means people will see them, and if not people, then a camera for sure.
@@AeridesEntertainment people won't notice lol, a pair of tiny wire cutters are great for taking blasters out, and as long as a bunch of people are in the isle, nobody will notice. People don't pay attention to what others are doing.
@@marcusborderlands6177 "and if not people, then a camera for sure." Also, imagine thinking people don't pay attention to the sound of a package opening.
My Phoenix’s barrel attachment lug is incompatible with ALL of my barrels and the stock attachment point is WAY to tight and you can’t put a stock on and the the drums wouldn’t fit. I’m overall disappointed with Hasbro. I was very excited but my expectations were not even met by a mile.
Hey just wanted to say good job with keeping the vids rolling. I know you are struggling with weight so good to see you are balancing vids and that, I can see you are losing the weight. Good job man
I have been with this channel for years now and it has really helped me make good decisions on nerf blasters to buy. I’m back into nerf now and Thanks to this channel, I actually have a chance against my mates who have (had) superior weapons. Thanks coop for this awesome content and I hope to see more in future!
I just want to buy this one because at Web stores in Brazil this is the most available Stryfe nowadays. So yeah i see no problem with heavyweight front, like i use two hands to hold and it's still fun!
@1:15 it's actually easier to see the crosshairs if you turn the scope around so the larger end is what you look thru down to the smaller end that has them. Blurry (better if you knocked out the plastic from the larger end) but from 10 ft away with AccuStrike darts at a foldable Nerf target practice bag(with the round 25, 50, 50, 75) not terrible. Otherwise looks cool.
I recently got a phoenix since I’m getting into the hobby and I found that the best way to reload the phoenix would be to use the hand that holds the grip of the blaster, and have all my fingers minus the thumb of my hand on the mag. I use the front of my thumb to press on the release button, and use my middle finger to help slide out the magazine. It’s not the intended method and it is definitely not the most practical or comfortable method, but trying to use the knuckle of my finger on the release button hurts way too much.
Hey coop can we please get a modulus and mega series overview cause they really need it anyway nice video as always keep up the good work and stay tacticool
I bought this just to have as my backup stryfe. Today when I was ready for my nerf war, I was about to bring my stryfe and just for me to realize my imr’s died. Ngl, this blaster did pretty good.
The phoenix looks kind of like a Warhammer 40k bolter, so I can see people leaning toward that for a cosplay option that doesn't need heavy modification. Not that anyone could possibly get an armored finger into that trigger guard.
First video ive watched of yours in years. Instantly clicked when I saw "The new..." Stryfe was cut out but I still knew what it was LOL! Flywheel master race!!
I love this blaster. We went to Target earlier and my mom said she'd buy me a Nerf blaster for cleaning my room, I chose this one. I don't care if it's clipped together, I don't care if the mag release is inside the trigger guard, I don't mind that the batteries change the balance of the blaster, I've had so much fun with this thing it's probably not healthy. XD
Coop, It would be a nice addition to add to your reviews telling us viewers the length and width of a blaster, just to get a reference. And it would only take 5-10 seconds to announce after measuring. I'm sure you could do it, and no I'm not criticizing you I am just offering an idea. Other than possibly adding that data to your reviews, your reviews and fantastic! 10/10 best Foam Flinging reviewer. Keep it going Coop!
I know I'm a little late to the commenting party, but I have found that if you put the included stock that comes with the Elite 2.0 Echo on this blaster it actually makes for a pretty decent semi-auto rifle setup. There are definitely better but it's not bad.
