This is my review of the Fanimation Studio Collection Aire Drop 52-in LED Ceiling Fan with Light Remote Control and Light Kit (5-Blade). This is the brushed nickel finish, item number at Lowe's is 921295. The blades are different colors on each side so you can decide which you prefer. Either the gray which I have showing, or the other side, which is dark walnut finish.
This is a nice fan, with a dimmable LED light. It looks great and produces a great airflow. The only thing I didn't like about it was the installation. You have to install the blades before you mount it on the ceiling which makes doing that quite a bit more difficult due to the weight and size. Other than that, I recommend it.
I have other ceiling fan reviews posted on my channel, so check those out, and if you have questions, post them below.

I saw three Fanimation Aire Drop in a hotel restaurant. They malfunctioned since day one, and I pointed out to maintenance man that they were on a wall dimmer. He removed the dimmer right away and they worked fine. They were on a dimmer because they replaced ugly light fixtures.

Thank you for this review! I’m definitely interested in this fan. Would you mind sharing what colour you purchased?
@ScottAllison
@ScottAllison 2 года назад
Sure! It's brushed nickel. Each side of the blades is a different color, so you can choose from this silvery finish or a dark wood color.

I have the same fan. I noticed recently when I wake up it's off. Maybe I hit the timer but not sure. Is there a way to turn the timer off if I did hit it by accident? I have been searching everywhere for the answer. It's only 3 months old.

Scott I’m thinking of buying this same model Says 18watt led bulb Is that bright enough you think for a bedroom? I like a bright room, the one I have now is old but has 4 lightbulbs I wish all these new fans had bulbs and not one led Plus I’m curious if the bulb ever burns out his easy are they to buy
@ScottAllison
@ScottAllison 3 года назад
It's pretty bright, it can illuminate the whole room. The spec says 1500 lumens, so check your current bulbs for comparison.

@@ScottAllison I was watching another video I like this fan good reviews Thing is the blades seem very cheaply made and the bulb is not like a standard led bulb It’s it goes bad I worry about a replacement

What's the settings on the remote? All up or all down? (Dip switch)
@ScottAllison
@ScottAllison Год назад
It doesn't matter... Just as long as you set the remote and the fan to the same positions

i have the same fan bought a year ago but stopped working i am not sure if its remote or fan all of sudden stopped is that could be a remote battery or something else plz help thanks

You should reach out to Fanimation for help. But if I were you I'd start by replacing the batteries, and if that doesn't work, check the wiring in the switch in the wall, and at the ceiling too.

Does it come with a wall holder for the remote?

I have a question, I was looking at this fan. My current fan has no light and a rotary dimmer switch. I would like to change the dimmer switch to either a fan switch or a standard on/off switch. Is this possible so not only have to use the remote. Just started looking and love the looks of this fan..
@ScottAllison
@ScottAllison 2 года назад
You just change it to a single on off switch. That means you can switch on off from the wall, but change settings from remote. It always remembers the previous setting when you turn the power back on. So if you turn it off at the switch when the light is on and the fan is low, then it will come back on the same when you turn it back on at the switch

The fan is beautiful but not practical. Once you used remote control, you can’t use the switches for the light and the other for the fan. Only works in one switch. If the blades are a pain, replacing the light is another. 🤷🏾‍♀️

The Fanimation fan would replace an existing ceiling fan that is wired to a 4 speed rotary wall switch. Can this Fanimation fan be wired to that same switch as well as work with the remote control. Thanks
@ScottAllison
@ScottAllison 2 года назад
No. You need to replace that with a regular switch

If you don't want to replace it with a regular switch, just set the switch to high speed and tape it and say "Do not touch". As long as the switch is always on high speed, the fan should work fine. It's exactly the same as if an on/off switch was on.

Uhh..How much of a pain in the ass to install? I play guitar, just as a note that they are a pain in the ass to restring, especially the classical headstock-kind. I just use that for reference...

Ideally you'd have someone else help when it's time to lift it up to the ceiling, but even without that I managed.
