I checked on the stats of the Fandom Menacers on social blade. Every single one of them is on the decline with views and new subs, or they have gone straight into the toilet. Jeremy is getting about half as many views as he did in his "prime", and now he is trying to jump on the corona virus band wagon.
Okay. But this channel on the other hand is really exploding. Ten years in and it's gonna take off to moon any day now? I think everyone is doing alright all around. Ups and downs are totally normal anywhere (not everyone is pewdiepie). And the platform always changes. More and more content means more and more different options for people to watch. It's like with TV. At the beginning there were few channel choices, so of course as more and more were added, viewership goes down and spreads out. And people diversify more than they did years ago. The number of patreon accounts exploded. Or people had live streams were people donate money. When you have income coming from those sources, you don't really need youtube as much as you did when that was your sole income source.

But the ones closely linked to it like Ethan Van Sciver, Geeks and Gamers, World Class Bullshitters, Mauler, Overlord DVD, Nerdrotic. If you go on their socal blade, subscriber numbers are going up (or staying for Ethan van sciver) and total viewnumbers for all of them are going up. So who are these channels that are going down the toilet? Because of none of these channels I just named. He mentions Jeremy specifically, and I assume that is Geeks and Gamers. Sure he had months in 2019 where he did 6,7 million views a month with 9 million being his best. Right now he does about 4 million. Which is lower than that, but also for the most part more than he did throughout 2018. And I think doing 4 million a month is hardly going down the toilet . It's just trying to portray a narrative this persons wants to show. If you look up Major Lee on social blade, only in these last two months his view numbers went up (and they are far away from 4 million btw). If I look at January, February of 2020 where he did around 100k views, that is also only a third of what he did in November 2018 or only half of what he did in June of 2019. You see, you can do that for other channels as well. Just goes to show that there are ups and downs in general. Now if you say their business models is not sustainable whatsoever. They are all doing better than this channel, so? Some of them have podcasts and get a lot of money from those. And they are all review channels. Major Lee is hardly different. And what you react to is based on what is being released. You say they went on shitting on Star Wars to Captain Marvel when TLJ started being less profitable. You do realize TLJ came out in December 2017 and Captain Marvel in March 2019, right? Of course you move on from any given topic at some point and do videos on other shit. I would assume most of them also did videos on movies that were released between the two. And in many cases it's actually the viewers that want them to do stuff on TLJ or Star Wars. The EFAP guys mentioned this, that viewers request they react to videos on that all the time. What is clear from you comment is that you simply don't like them. Which is okay. @@jackcoupland6035 Jeremy Jahns always had mixed feelings about the movie from the very beginning, his first review of it was like “I’m not sure how I feel about it yet” then the spoiler review be started to talk about how he didn’t love it like he wanted to, and I think his distaste of the movie kind of blossomed after that which I can understand. Being let down like that totally creates harsher and more extreme opinions on something. All these other “reviewers” legitimately had 180s for views, at least Jahns never fully liked it like these other people

It’s not good dialogue, it’s memorable for all the wrong reasons. And now because Disney have 3 lead characters in ep 8 who are women (Rey, Holdo, Rose) with 2 being badly written (Holdo, Rose), it makes it SJW...? Diversity in a story doesn’t make the story SJW unless it outright says ‘look at this women/black/Hispanic character. Look at how womenly/black/Hispanic they are. U will like this women/black/Hispanic character or else ur a misogynistic, racist bigot who supports Trump’. As it is a Star Wars film; meaning, in the stars, the race/sexuality/gender of a character should have no impact on the plot or narrative of the film, because then it’s pandering. Ep 7 & 8 haven’t done this and I doubt 9 will either. If there is a whole scene where Poe and Finn kiss, or where Rey’s gender is commented on, then it’s only there to pander to the SJW audience and their agendas and that is not a good thing. @@saberiandream316 first of all, financially Disney is not losing any money, they are doing amazing in the money department, the sequel trilogy, (like it or not), is the highest grossing trilogy ever made, and with the mandalorian and clone wars season 7 being the only Disney plus original content that people care about on the service at the moment, and disney is still 5 years a head of their subscription expectations, second, they removed the legends stuff from cannon not because they hate it, but because over the last 40 years that thing became to convoluted to follow, so making any new projects without stepping on those stories became imposible, so they decided to reboot it and bring stuff from there to the new cannon, like boba fett surviving, thrawn, the emperor returning as a clone, and they are now doing the high rebublic, probably because they have some ideas to do stuff with the old republic, they wanted to make the star wars universe more approachable to new fans rather then scar them with a ton of lore, DC comics for example did this like 4 or 5 times.
I don't think that's why we dislike the films. Good writing doesn't recognize gender, race or politics. It's a shallow and narrow-minded criticism of the fandom. Explain the love for Ahsoka, Ripley, Sarah Connor, Arya Stark, Danaerys Targaryen etc.

Glenn Myron but your kinda proving a point kids love Star Wars supposedly on TV but not as films. When Star Wars first came out it was one of only 5 major franchises I can think of planet of the apes, James Bond, Dirty Harry and Godzilla. Now trow a rock you hit a major franchise on TV or movie series aimed at the demographic Star Wars was aimed at. You have to compete with all of that now. So if the kids aren’t liking the new films you have to cater to the old people but there isn’t as much money to be made there. I think the flaw is they made a film series so far trying to please both demographics when they should have just focused on one the younger demographic and not catered to the adults by saying wasn’t everything that happens 40 years ago great weren’t those people great. 2 episodes of The Mandalorian were directed by a black guy. Rick Famuyiwa directed episodes 2 & 6 so far..... Hell even the final villain was Palpatine a character who realistically means nothing to most of the heroes. Yes they stupidly made Rey his granddaughter but because he had no impact on her development I can’t see why it exactly mattered to her.

@@brianbrush5107 as I indicated, the dialogue in the movie indicates they did have a relationship. She is questioned by Kira, "do you and Lando you know wink-wink, how would that even work". And L337 responds in a suggestive tone "oh believe me it works" and make some odd gesture. It doesn't take very much to read between those lines. What else could she be talking about? And if it was something innocent, why even include that in the dialogue? Also Lando's Behavior when she got shot, he didn't run out to help any humans, but after she got shot he risks his life for a Droid? Even after she falls apart he is dragging parts of her body into the Falcon, clearly not because she means nothing to him. But much more than a favorite Droid. You remember Leia's reaction when threepio was blown to bits was oh no, you think you can put him back together? And Han Solo acting like he couldn't care less. She didn't grab 3 POS head and start bawling like a baby. And then when Lando plugged L337 into the Millennium Falcon, he did it with a lot of reverence, they had their very personal last words, this clearly is not a normal human Droid relationship.

How is that not possible? I walked out of the Last Jedi confused and trying to make excuses so that I could like it. When you have been hyped for a movie for over a year and spend the weeks leading up to it thinking about it a lot, it's very difficult to just accept that it was terrible only to come to that conclusion after a little while.

Reminder that in the second season of The Clone Wars, when they reintroduced the Mandalorians and the planet Mandalore into Canon there were message boards dedicated to trashing and hating on Dave Filoni for creating a new story and lore for the Mandalorians and that hate continued throughout the show's run until the last season where Maul became a major villain and it was announced that the show would be cancelled. Its always a new target but they always hate and complain. Incidently Dave Filoni would never agree to become a Producer or President of Lucasfilm because he loves writing stories and characters, he's a filmmaker in the purest sense, he wants to be the one making stories not delegating people to make stories for him, that's why he's the chief creative of Lucasfilm animation, so he alongside the Lucasfilm Story Group can map out the stories of shows, comics and other media.

I guess I'm a casual fan compared to these nerds but TLJ changed Luke's character and made the force easily acquired. I've watched 1-8 and only like 3, 5, and rogue one. Luke wouldn't try to kill his nephew when he sensed dark in him because luke wouldn't kill Darth vador the galactic hitler because luke sensed some good in anakin. How did Leia and Rey control the force to fly and mind trick without ANY training when Luke was a prodigy and needed training to even properly sense it? Rey is a good fighter but how can she beat the emperor's red guards when they are the best warriors in the galaxy and kylo when he is seriously trained with force and lightsabers. If we learned anything about these films, it’s this... The Bad side of the Star Wars fandom does not understand Star Wars. They see the movies as just space operas. Their just space operas with nothing deep or sophisticated about them, despite claiming to know what their about. All what they wanted to see was a bunch of filler action scenes and nonsensical fan service moments and that’s it. Much like the Jurassic Park fandom not understanding The Jurassic Park/World franchise, or with dc comics fanboys not understanding Marvel’s successful line of films, the fandom clearly doesn’t understand this franchise and has no respect for any of the people who breaks their backs into making these movies. (They never praised any of the new and unique styles of filmmaking that goes into these movies and just made fun of what the characters do because they hate women and black people for some reason) it’s ironic about how many times they have complained for years about wanting Star Wars to go back to its original format of filmmaking while presenting new and fresh ideas onto the table, but how often do they actually apply what they preach onto themselves? Just like with the Dumbass Critic never understanding anything he talks about, the fandom never understood this franchise. And sadly, it seems like they never will. Just a reminder, that empire strikes back, you know, the most beloved and most adored episode of the whole series? This film was met with a negative response when it was first released, but it’s considered a classic amongst critics and audiences alike now. I’m not saying that it might happen to the sequel trilogy in the near future, but if it does happen, I guess that means that somethings never change Huh? Basically what I’m saying is, the Star Wars fandom, well the dark side of the fandom anyway, only got worse as time went by. Sure, they upped in numbers and all that, but their thought processing and presentation got heavily worse. They got so toxic, not only do they treat the people who make the films like mortal enemies, but also the people who like the films they hate, which is a line no one should ever cross, yet they enjoy attacking the defenders of these movies.
Honesty: Even at 12 years old, I felt awkward watching the special editions, it felt like numerous comical inserts that didn't fit the emotional pace I had watching the originals, the Phantom Menace, 15 minutes into it felt off and I looked around and the theater was silent with people looking around as well in an almost uneasy fashion. The following prequels had similar vibes in the theaters. I liked aspects of TPM and bought the toys like crazy but dropped off on the sequels entirely. TFA I enjoyed when I watched it, it was like I always said for awhile as to what if Star Wars came out for the first time today? In a lot of ways, I was after awhile disappointed that I didn't get a new story and style that would continue where believably Jedi left off. 30 years later storyline wise still had Tie fighters and x wings, death star, Han I felt should have been a gruff general instructing recruits, Luke would have been so welcomed to appear and reunite with Han in TLJ. I felt like there were countless missteps for me, that's what's important to stress here, for me it didn't work, anyone who loves the prequels or special editions or sequel trilogy, that's awesome! I may even be tempted to say that only the unaltered OT feels like "my" Star Wars. Whatever is "your" Star Wars is yours and you have the right to love what you love without getting hate. To me, real fans would show respect to fellow fans. Would it be ridiculous if in 1977 a fan of Darth Vader would trash talk someone who liked Luke or C3PO more? Because they feel that Vader was a badass and to them, Luke and 3PO were whiny? Live and let live, TLJ for me was the most disappointing movie I've ever seen and I felt that the vibe and pacing were drastically off and did feel like the people who made it were out of touch of what made the foundation of Star Wars great. In the end, I have 3 timeless films to enjoy for the rest of my life that will never age. If you have 3, 6, 9, or 11 films that are timeless to you, I am genuinely happy for you and you shouldn't have to defend what you love or be hated on just because you enjoy something they or even I do not understand.

Doesen't matter if its "unique" or not, People hate the TLJ because it's poorly written and contradicts lore which extends to the whole trilogy, many of the more dedicated fans like myself wanted a legends inspired sequel trilogy based on the Thrawn trilogy or even the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, it would have definitely been different and risky but definitely been more captivating than the sequel trilogy we got.

@@GamerWho The Last Jedi most definitely does contradict movie canon, training as Jedi means nothing when Rey became more powerful than Palpatine in the force with little training when even Luke needed 4 years of training to become a Jedi and still would have died to Palpatine if not for Vader, force healing is now an ability that apparently comes naturally to Rey and Kylo when the prequels established force healing is a highly advanced technique that Anakin was willing to fall to the dark side to learn, ramming ships in hyperspace doesn't make sense when it's already established hyperspace is basically going through another dimension not "going really fast", and many other contradictions that are questionable at best.
Solo didn't fail because of "SJWs," it did not do as well because it was a spinoff and it was competing with Deadpool 2 and Infinity War. If you want to profit off a film, don't release it in theaters the same month as an Avengers film

conservative/republican and Democrat/liberal are words that have completely losts their meaning and the political parties don't even fit their literal definition anymore and the parties just pretty much switched places a few decades ago.
I am Jacobin Democratic Socialist who despises health insurance companies and call for tuition free public college, and I kinda hated Last Jedi. Not because it was new take which would be great but the fact that a lot of the stuff in it went nowhere. Looking the whole thing about the freeing the animals was kind of self defeating cause we all know they will be recaptured. They didn't save the kids from slavery. And even though Poe was being an ass he should have been let due to his rank what Laura Dern's character was planning to do.

AFAIK Wolf is (kind of) OK (-ish..?) but he's dropped off-line while he sorts some personal stuff out. He has support and will hopefully be back when he's ready. That's as much as I know.
Wow, that sucks man. I mean, i don't like two of the prequels, but everybody can like whatever they want. Same thing is happening to me now, because i like The Force awakens and The Last Jedi.
My favorite thing about the "Fandom Menace" is that they'll deny that they're toxic or hostile. When they literally have the word "menace" in their name.

Lucky you. I just finally got my act together to reengage and watch The Mandalorian this december. Because these insane altright-MRA-femaleproducer-hating fuckos had killed my motivation to even think about SW. Good thing Mando and thr gang fired me up again. Hence why I am here. Hell NO if these nerfherders are gonna get to define something as lovely and gloriously trashy as this franchise.
I’m conservative and I honestly enjoy all three Star Wars sequel films for different reasons. People need to realize that not everything is going to cater to what THEY want. I mean I personally don’t like the prequel trilogy but you don’t see me crying about it. It has its audience and I’m happy it does. Seriously, some Star Wars fans really need to learn to either be constructive with their views or just shut up.
I'm not a fan of sequels either but it's not as bad as what they made out to be. The OT is superior and iconic, the prequels have some ups and downs, and the sequels are underwhelming. So you're right that not everything has to cater to them. People have their own opinions all they want and that's okay to agree or disagree with others. However, being salty over someone's opinion is worst than a League of Legends player.
The thing to remember is these types are not your average conservative. These types are often alt right or have association with such. There's some clear racism, sexism, and overall hate that comes from them. They ignore everything about Star Wars that says to not be that way and instead join the fascist darkside of our world.

It's different to like or dislike. But when it comes to the sequels it has destroyed the lore of Star Wars. If you was a real Fan you would understand it 🤢

There’s different types of fans especially when it comes to Star Wars. There’s fans like you who are deep into the lore and mythology, and there’s fans like me who just love seeing space battles and laser sword fights and couldn’t care less about the deeper stories of Star Wars. Everyone’s different. Please knock it off with this pretentious “real fan” rhetoric. Star Wars is supposed to be fun. Plain and simple. And I had fun with all three trilogies, even the sequels AND the George Lucas prequels that I’m not too much of a fan of personally. I still love and respect Lucas, don’t get me wrong. But his films weren’t for me.

I love star wars and I worry about Disney trying to appease the loud squeaky wheel type fans and giving into their boring requests. I wish they would leave the art to the artists.

An ace pilot that exists to be womanslpaned by an incompetent commander, who uses the hyperdrive to wipe out half the fleet which btw completely ruins any reason to have battle fleets at all (why not make hyperdrive missiles.... ) a "jedi" that can move MOUNTAINS after 3 philosophy lessons "bombers" that use GRAVITY BOMBS IN OUTER SPACE. A fat chick that STOPS the token from destroying the enemy breach weapon, dooming them all (no one knew luke would show up) and explains her actions away with the logic of a autistic 3 year old, and finally an enemy rorce that behaves like a saterday mourning cartoon with recycled ideas to boot. This is what you all like. This is what you want from star wars. Wow.
"It's sad to see that no one want Kathleen Kennedy's job" Making the best movie possible, but being harass by spoiled man babies who complained about anything... yeah, I imagine why no one would want that job. That's the reason why Lucas sold SW to Disney to begin with, he was fed up of this kind of reaction and couldn't find any joy to making movie because of that. Kennedy got Star Wars because stupid people like them got obsessed. If you think it's a shame what happen to Lucas,stop repeating the same mistake.
