Review on the Stanley 1000 amp jump starter 

Its been 2 years but I did jumped a Ford f350 diesel, and still working

Back around 98 dodge set the new sustained land speed record with the Cummings 6 cylinder diesel at the salt flats. The Cummings was installed into a dodge Dakota pickup truck that had Richard Pettys spare spoiler from his SuperBee and with a 24 hour average time of 144 and change a new world record was set.

thank you I went through 10 to 12 videos before I watched yours no help. I am visually impaired and it's hard for me to read the small print even with glasses. The charging and instruction you mentioned and the 10 min on the air compressor before it shuts down no one mentioned but you most helpfull thanks agin

Thanks bro, pretty thorough review, just paid $75 for it and waiting for delivery. Even at $75, I think it is worth it. I have a tire compressor, but my Stanley battery charger/jumper, is offie on the jump-start. Sometimes it will jump, sometimes it takes much longer for it to jump. This should be (hopefully) a good solution. My battery keeps dying after installing subwoofers, even though they turn off when vehicle is off. 🤷‍♂️

I just bought one of these and used it one night when my Honda was dead. Worked on the first try. The air compressor is a small cheap little compressor. Use it only in an emergency. If you notice your tire is a little low on air use an air compressor at a nearby gas station and save this for when you really need it. At $60 it paid for itself on the first use.

Can you charge the unit using the 12volt plug?

I agree with you on the jump box should have came with an extension cord. I had to run back to the store and get an extension cord

Here's a tip get a battery maintainer and attach it to the internal battery terminals with the ring connectors that will keep your unit fully charged at optimal power and make the battery last longer.did it with mine and it's much better than the AC adapter that comes with most because they want it disconnected once it's fully charged and if you keep it at home like me it can go dead before you use it. But a good battery maintainer will give the battery the equivalent of exercising to maintain it's power, health and longevity.

Believe it or not but the place that you plug your extension cord into is actually a small charge adapter they just put it inside the unit so it is less likely to be lost or broken.

I have owned several Peak brand and they stink! Bought one of these and used for the first time and it worked perfectly. Last time charged like over 7 months ago and still holding power, great and would buy if looking for one with no fear

MY QUESTION IS I READ THE REVIEWS AND A LOT OF PEOPLE GIVING IT POOR REVIEWS & COMPLAINING ABOUT THE UNIT AND NOT WORKING. HAVE YOU HAD ANY ISSUES WITH YOUR CHARGER?

It doesn't have 120v plug does it?

I bought an Everstart, 1200 CCA, at Walmart, and used it only 4 times. The 4th time, I used it to start my bus, a full sized straight 671 diesel. One of my 8D batteries had a bad cell, and tested at 10.5 Volts. To my surprise, the engine started with that Jump Starter, But, sorry to say, it fried the electronics, but not the AGM battery. It was over a year, since I had purchased it, at Walmart, so the warranty was not good, so I took out the battery, and charged it up-and it was still good.

Bought one, charged it up no problems, a couple of Months later need another charge,was not able to charge. Tried several types of cords was never able to charge basically useless got no help from Walmart or Stanley. Useless junk. Will not buy again.

These sla battery packs work, but really have to baby them in terms of charging and maintaining. If not then the battery will junk quickly. I feel most people that buy these really have no knowledge of how to maintain a lead acid battery. I owned one and it did not last more than a few months, and I DID charge it, just not enough I guess.

My friend gave me one of this with no manual, the question I have is when I put it to charge both the red lights turn on steady red but the last green one blinks green does that mean it's charged? Or is it supposed to be steady green? Tanks
