how did you improve this antenna I have a live voice in the Dominican Republic and I want more channels and better signal

i got this antenna yesterday 2/1/2019 for 20.00 +shipping and a 3 year warranty 30.00. I was picking up between 7 and 18 channels daytime and night time are different. I installed this on my Direct tv pole and used the existing rg8 cable and pointed it in the direction of Dallas/Ft Worth area and rescanned and got 51 channels not all come in but this antenna does work. Dallas is 111 miles away from my house, I still will tweak the position and see how much it will improve.

I have this antenna and it does a decent job...I live near Akron and about a half hour south of Cleveland. I use PS Vue most of the time and use this as an OTA backup. Only station I have occasional problems with is the Fox affiliate, WJW TV 8 (on digital 8) and its subchannels. I get a solid 41 channels from the Akron and Cleveland areas...

My antenna stop working and now I have the red green and yellow light on.. Any toughs?

I have this antenna. It works well for the towers about 26 miles away. I never can figure out the remote control to rotate the antenna. The buttons don't rotate in the same direction when I repeat a button push. It was hard to zero in on the direction to get the best signals. In a strong wind my setup moves some which may cause the reception to get lost.

I live in Woodway Texas not very for from where you live, I have two of these antennas up ( one pointing to Dallas stations and one pointing to Moody for Waco stations ). I get stations from 100 miles away most days but, there are problems, the rooter I just used once to set it up because you have to have someone watching the antenna to know where it is pointing, the other big problem there is no way to hook up two antennas to one tuner because the antenna amp, I have a extra tuner for the Dallas stations. I have had to replace one antenna after about 3 years, I think the electronics played out in the amp. I hope that helps.

How would you handle scanning to find channels with a rotating antenna? Wouldn't you have to have your TV rescan every time you rotated it?

I have a older outdoor tv antenna it works really well I get a good 35 channels and on skip I get channels 187 miles away from me

do you need any other tuner to get channels? ex: Hauppauge WinTV-DualHD Dual USB 2.0 HD TV Tuner for Windows PC 1595

Looks just like the Lava antenna i had that crapped out in like a month.

Best antenna option for a Northern climate seems to be an attic-mount, omnidirectional one. Any suggestions?

I've got this antenna that I use with my travel trailer when camping. I put it on top of a flag pole. When it's really windy it will rotate and I'll have to hit the button to put it back south. The one tower that is 35 miles away is ok, but most are 55 miles and it's hit or miss. I also have this inside my house for OTA, but I'm thinking of calling sling to put an antenna on top of my 2 story house. Would Slings antenna get better singles then this. Coming from a bay city Mi location. :)

Yeah your grandfather's antenna was pretty darn good I guess his HD channels with HD sound we're pretty good sucks you ain't got that one huh

I had one of them tv antennas thy don't work to bad I live in the middle of 4 big cities I can get 65 to 67 channels. Inside the motor where it turns has paltic gears because the one I had it stopped turning it striped the gears in the motor

In Chicago I have one of those flimsy antennas. I'm able to pull in about 65 channels. They come in for the most part and I can watch them. I'm sure that's probably real

This type antenna is for people without kids. Anyone from the 60's knows what I'm talking about.

Mine wont rotate, and bough it 4 days ago. All was done according to the book.

These antennas are sold under a few names. They are basically junk. A neighbor tried one it lasted a month or so and the rotor stopped working and a few weeks later the preamp stopped working. Don't waste your money. Get a good antenna from Antennas Direct, RCA, Wineguard, Televes, Channel Master or Stellar labs.
