I’m debating between the Bowtech SS34, the Omnia, and the Era. If they had any Eras in stock anywhere I’d have bought it, and the longer I have to wait the more tempted I am to settle for the SS34 or Omnia in the meantime.
Tyler's knowledge after watching this video might have found a new customer in me. I travel through Illinois every year on my way to Kansas. But I think I want to have him set up my arrows. He seems to take customer service alot more seriously than my shop. They don't have any selection on fletches. Just straight fletch and small off set angles.
Great video: How do you feel about putting on metal accessories like sights on carbon. Would it vibrate loose faster because of the difference in expansion with temp changes?
I am way too uneducated to know the answer to that 😂 I usually check my equipment every few hunts just to make sure everything is secure and hasn’t come loose from travel/normal wear and tear. I’ll just have to do the same if I decide to rock the Era!
@@thebluetailbowhunters7825 OK Thanks, I was just seeing if it was a well known thing, probably the only thing I remember from HS chemistry class with the different expansion of metals. I am wondering if the screws would eventially work loose and need to be checked. Thanks for a great video, cant wait for your follow up.
@@scottpomygalski6078 they won't work loose man. Carbon don't move and Temps would have to be crazy for expansion to matter. Been a fitter/welder/metallurgist for 32 years so I know all metals pretty damn well. For expansion to really come into play you're talking 180° constant and direct heat
@@mikeguy9668 Got it Thank You Man, a Welder, you must have done some amazing stuff!! I am in the military, and those Navy welders have some cohones! Thanks again, Happy Holidays, Happy New Year!
Why didn’t they set the Era at 65 for you and your DL????? Never been to a shop that wouldn’t set a bow to exactly what I wanted to shoot it at 🤷🏻♂️ The Era is on my list for this year….. but don’t know if I am gonna give up the Mach 1… we will see!
"im not a fanboy..." whatever lol. its ok to be honest we all have our loyalties. I give it to Mathews, they have convinced people in droves to believe all their BS.
My current setup (Vertix) is 65 pound at 29.5 inch draw. Arrow is 590 grains. I don’t care to shoot into a crono. FPS doesn’t mean much to me when I’m looking at how my arrow flies and how hard it hits. I love where it’s at!
@@thebluetailbowhunters7825 I know but the guy said his elite was shooting 291 with 60# @ 28in. To get that speed with that set up , arrow has to be really light
@@shanebolerhunting yeah they crono’d it before I shot this video with a super light arrow and a super heavy arrow. Just to see what the numbers were. This Era was set at 70 tho.
@The Bluetail Bowhunters I'm waiting on mine also! I think it is going to be well worth the wait! Thank you for the review it pushed me to purchase my first elite.
@@NMGagne yes! Got mine in and all set up, to include new Patriot strings! It’s awesome. Just waiting for the shop owner, the camera man, and my schedules to all line up so we can record again.
your vertix looks way too short for you..your bow arm is so bent i cant see how you can repeat any kind of accuracy but i guess if it works for you than rock on
