Hey John, with the Heavy Duty spring, it will be the same tuning process as the standard. You will still need to achieve the 1 inch of sag if you have a 13 inch shock.

Hey Bamm, yes, ultimately the sag is based off of the fully extended shock length, then how much you and the bike compress that shock from its original length. I.G. 13" shocks get 1" sag MAX, you seated on the bike do not want to compress the shocks to where they measure shorter than 12" from the center of the top bolt to the center of the bottom bolt.

Hey James thanks for reaching out. The sag should be set at about 3/4" to 1 inch of sag.

Definitely lengthen the spring by turning counter clockwise to soften the tension and allow more sag until it’s between 3/4” and 1”.

Hey James, Depending on what first click you are on, you may be on the firm setting. Please turn the compression adjuster all the way clockwise till it stops, then turn it about 6-7 clicks counter-clockwise as this would be your lightest compression setting. The compression and rebound will not be optimized for you unless your suspension preload is set appropriately so you will want to verify this as well. Hey there, yes makes perfect sense. We often tell people to find a happy medium on their sag. If you like 3/4" and when adding weight, you get to that 1" mark and do not have to really touch it after that, that's great!

Hey Jayson thanks for reaching out. If your sag is not set correctly, you are going to either bottom the shocks out or feel as though the shocks are way too stiff. Proper sag adjustment ensures you are riding within the "sweet spot" of the travel range for optimal ride quality.
