yes, I think you can just create an aux bus within Logic and route it to the mastering suite in Reason and then back to Logic. Kind of like if you had an external hardware compressor something. I hope this helps.

I can get a signal through AUX, but I can’t get “Reason” to appear in library.

I’m having the same issue. I’m using Reason Lite, but I assume that Lite has ReWire?

You can't delete the mastering section, it's hard coded into Reason. Later in the video, I show you can disable it by virtually unplugging the wires from the back and then routing the your chosen instrument in reason straight into the Audio I/O buss. I hope this helps.

John Simon - oh I know this issue all to well... and it’s annoying as F! IMHO, This is due to Reason’s inability to fix their MIDI and has been an ongoing issue. The good news: there’s a wonderful solution, and can be fixed with a quick show and tell. it’s to much to explain in a RU-vid comment, but what I’ll do is creat a quick video to explain and show how to get around it. I think you have to change your bounce mode from Offline to Realtime as the offline mode won't sense the reason Audio channels when it bounces it out.

Omell Gass - interesting question about MIDI drum patterns. I'm working on a remix tomorrow, let me pull up the ole redrum out an see what I can find out. BTW, fascinated to me that if you spell redrum backwards it spells murder. You ever wonder why Reason came up with this name?

Taylor Weng - I probably forgot to say that if you record in Logic, you have to config the project/ audio recording to bounce differently than normal, like so: Hit “command” and the “B” key at the same time, to bring up the audio bounce dialogue box and make double sure you check the circle that says “Realtime Mode” or it will never record.

My apologies, Hopefully I am following what you are asking. First, I did a Part 2 of this video and there's a ton more stuff and I cover recording audio / wav files, just a tad bit more advanced, here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Qjazux6esW0.html However, I believe you're asking, how to record audio/wave files from Reason Rewire going to Logic's aux channels, aka Bounce audio: To do this, You have to go into Logic's Audio Bounce Preferences (Just hit command + B - it will pop out with a window), And in there you can change your bounce mode from Offline to Real-time. The offline mode won't sense the reason Audio Aux channels, if you do a normal Bounce. What I like do is set my Yellow loop point markers, just click and drag the yellolow up at the top, for the start to the end of what you want to bounce out, like a part of song or the whole song, just allow enough space for the song to have a tail / fade. Then hit the shortcut combo, which is the: " Command key + B " This will initiate the bounce, Logic's Bounce window will pop-up, and in there you can uncheck the check mark to set it from Offline to Realtime. Please let me know it goes, if you have any more issues, I can make a new video that focuses specifically on the recording the audio onto the aux channel.
