Im pretty sure the most recent black funeral albums have the guy from drowning the light. There is a band episode that I would lovev to see you tackle. Good episode.

@@radiofreeinnsmouth1337 I've heard that scene called "The Concilium" (named after a split between those two bands and Blessed in Sin) before, so maybe something along those lines ("The Toulon Concilium" maybe? Since they're all from Tuolon as well) might be your best bet if you don't want to get Susan on your case about certain, shall I say, _objectionable_ references... Just a thought though. I know I'd definitely be interested in hearing an episode about that circle of bands myself! I'd personally be interested in hearing an episode about Spear of Longinus too, considering the BMSS episode makes note of them and their music goes in very interesting directions. Your show is great, it has introduced me to some great stuff I would've otherwise probably never even heard of. The main podcast is entertaining too. Always good to tune into new episodes.

I do like the first two Dork Funeral albums.. Vobiscum is pretty blistering. Enough about that, great video my man! I definitely need to give the mid era Black Funeral another shot soon. I actually have a CD copy of Ordog around here somewhere, gonna scope it out tonight.

That could be fun. I only really like Devilry and Salvation, but those are pretty neat. Maybe a combo episode with Ofermod.

Black Funeral in general tends to get a lot more hate than is necessary. Honestly I think Az-i-Dahak and Waters of Weeping in particular are some of the best post '00s black metal releases. Sort of like a weird follow-up to the kind of stuff Beherit was doing on Drawing Down the Moon.

The Sumerian/German mix makes sense as Germany has always been the global leader in ancient sumerian archaeology and linguistic study, and most academic material in that field is only available in German, although that's slowly changing to English nowadays.

Empire of blood > vampyr Good band, though definitely a mixed bag. Michael Ford was once associated with O9A and other similar organizations in the 90s, there’s some photos out there on the internet somewhere with Ford posing in front of a happy pinwheel flag. I also can’t think of this band without thinking of the myth where Ford supposedly bought some tapes from Vlad Tepes back in the day and they sent them to him after smashing them with a hammer

Honestly for most disliked band I’d say Krieg, not sympathetically though. Unrelated question. If the hammer ever does fall, do you have an archive or a backup link available with all the rfi eps?
