RG Evangelion Mark.06 - UNBOXING and Review 

An amazing design. I am glad Bandai went ahead with production even after it only got about 10 seconds of screen time. Has me holding out hope for an RG Eva Mark 09 and Unit 13.

The torso is longer than normal too. This one has an extra section than the regular 2 so it might be taller.

Add a bit of gold in there and it has that Egyptian vibe goin' around the unit

I know I’m a little late but the reason it doesn’t have an umbilical cable is because in the anime it does not need it. It works on what the angels run. So it doesn’t need a power source as it has its own.

I'm not a fan of the Evangelion types of models but I do want this one because it looks so nice with it's color scheme and weapon. I would have liked the darker blue from the promo images that were more like the anime but this still looks to be the best looking RG Evangelion kit. Can't wait to get this.

i preordered mine months ago. during that time i watched all of evangelion and the movies and am now a huge fan. seeing all of the reviews for this kit popping up, especially increasingly in english is getting me more and more excited to receive mine :,)

I like the light passing through the hands, I dont know, I think its personal taste

I’m kinda disappointed in the colour, I would have preferred the darker blue like they showcased in the announcement for the kit.

Great review as usual covering everything about the kit. I'm ready to see their RG take on the Evas that appear in 3.0 and the new movie so we can stop building the same core kit as they don't have the ribbed torso design seen in the earlier movies. I suppose there's a part of me that doubts they will ever exist as they deviate too much from the design that they have made for these kits. You pointed out the two, well maybe three things I don't like about these kits. The weird crotch that slides around where the legs connect, the puffy forearms, and the slightly off colors. I do not like the shade that Unit 01 was done in either. Come to think of it I hope they reissue the 3.0 kits of Unit 2 and 8! I missed out on those before and I just adore the designs.

I'm soooo happy bandai is making these eva kits. I'm a huge fan of Neon Genesis and gunpla so this was honestly a dream come true! My only wish now is if they make an RG version of Unit 05 and Unit 00 but in the anime blue color! They already released the Unit 04 which wasn't even in the anime or rebuild movies so I'm really hoping at least 1 of the 2 gets made!

I think it looks great ! Could definitely benefit from some water slides in white for the caution and warning markings

These are great and all but I'm just waiting for a real grade of Eva Unit 5

does your hip part that you attach the legs to just slide around on the torse? its so loose.

Fun fact: the only parts that are the same from the other EVA's are the legs and the biceps of the arms. The arms are actually longer that the usual EVA's.

I'd buy the EVA unit 3 but it's price will probably be too inflated by the shield for the unit 0

Since Bandai likes to wait months to release water decals for their RG kits, get the third party decals. I used them on my EVA-01 and they look awesome.

7:24 I don’t think Eva unit 06 ever had a mouth as seen in construction. (Pretty sure it’s an Adam after reading a whole essay of Eva unit 06 lore/theories on Reddit.)

The one RG EVA that has differences, didn't even mention them. Torso has an extra section and the entire shoulder neck section is different.

Eva units doesn't have any distinct parts except the face, unlike Gunpla which have different type of molds. Maybe I'll buy one kit just to satisfy my curiosity and experience building a RG-EVA kit.

Hm... Something about the mix of RG and movie-accurate stylings makes this kit feel... off, in an unintelligible manner. It still looks great, though. Is it just me, or is the horn smaller than it should be? Might just be the aforementioned stylistic decision. Here's hoping for an eventual MP Eva...

I really like the design of Mark 06 shoulder pylons. But still not a fan of the chubby forearms and separated deltoid, they look ugly.

It would have been great if it had come with those few spare parts for the shoulder pylons so it could be fully converted to "Unit" 6.
