For the main portion that I break down first, really I'm using a the 3 full step bend as the focus note. Sometimes i start on the 3 half step bend and move it down to the full step bend.
magic dude, I broke it down to the root notes of the chords and played the the root notes of the splits at the top of the octave till I nailed the rhythm then added the chords back in. cheers
@John Wheelan. How are Christelle Berthon and Ronnie Shellist at all alike? It's apples and oranges. I don't think you can compare one against the other. You take a little from both to make something your own.
Great rhythm! Thank you for sharing. At what point are you breathing out? Just on the 2 Blow and and 3 Blow? That's where I am struggling. Instead of doing the second set of Ta Ta before starting over at the 3 Draw, I am just exhaling there. Still works, but its not quite the same :)
Hi Ronnie . I just started playing Harmonica and my Harmonica instructor said I have to learn rhythm training keep in time with the song . How do I practice thythm training and keep up with the songs . Thanks
Hi, could you tell me the brand, model, etc...of that harmonica, please. Or some alternative. I'd like to play the song Keep on Chooglin (Creedence Clearwater Revival) and i think that's the correct harmonica. Thanks.
I know this is a old post, I really like the riff. I'm hoping to get an answer. The 2 blow to 3 blow to 2 draw part of the riff. Takes a lot of air. What are the advantages of using the 2 draw vs a second 3 blow? Being they are the same note I find a lot easier to play two 3 blow. What are your thoughts?
completely different tone on the 2 draw=huskier sound and available bends below the note to access quickly if desired. the phrasing of the riff should almost always dictate 2b vs 3b
Hi ! I really like this rythm but I'm not a good english talker so... could you give me the tab please ? :) I'm starting harmonica so I'm looking for some cool things to do :)
I am saying TAH which is referring to the tongue position. i'm touching the tongue to the top of the mouth and when i say TAH it comes down giving the note a staccato sound.
I tried that Ronnie, the music store gave me a Am its not the same, I no A major got that low in, thats what messing me up, thats way cool Ronnie... John , I got a bad habit of doing tongue blocking, I guess I need to watch you a 100 times
You mean the harmonica itself is in the key of A, but you're actually playing in the key of E...? Cross Harp - second position... is that what you're doing?
Lol...JP's lessons are good...and he's a good teacher but sounding "good" after just 3 months of practice is a matter of opinion :) Also, it's sort of "bad form" to hawk JP's lessons on Ronnie's video site.
