Considering Ohtani has 2 years until he’s a FA and he never stated he wants to leave the angels, he could stay there if they use the pile of money they have available this off season for pitching.

@@TheAmpharosFreak I feel like most teams will throw a pile of money his way when he's a FA. But he will probably pick the team that will win more even if it comes with a smaller pile of money. I'm sure it will still be a huge pile of money but, maybe a few mill off. The only way I see him staying with the angles is if they do enough this off-season to get players to show him we are trying to move in the right direction. They also need to improve a lot and maybe even make the playoffs. Because if they don't he will see that they ain't going anywhere, and he will bounce.

Thank you for talking about how it’s insane what Ohtani is doing. As MVP talk got intense, some people trying to degrade what he’s doing…like Pedro who or etc. About his FA, money is not priority to Ohtani. If money is the 1st priority, He would have waited to come to MLB for 2years, after he turned 25years old, and then get $200M+ contract. His dream is to be a best baseball player. He wants to improve what he is doing now. So he will choose the team would give him opportunities to do so. He is a great player but some teams might find difficulties to use him.

Many argue that he didn't say "I leave it at that", but I think the overall translation wasn't wrong. When asked, "Do you want to stay in the Angels?" He said, "I love the fans, I like the atmosphere of the team, but I want to win more than that." This should be enough.

It is difficult to understand because only one copy of his remark has been cut outit but when I hear the interview properly, he does not say that he wants to transfer, but he says that like wants the team to be reinforced so it is unlikely that he will transfer immediately. However, if the team does not act in good faith, there is a possibility of transfer. Angels made him carry everything too much

Part of the charm of shohei ohtani is that he has a type of Innocence. Much different than the vast majority of major league players. If he's sold out for the cash it would be a travesty, like I said before. And in three years he's not going to be the same picture or the same hitter that he is today. He's in his prime right now. I doubt sincerely he can keep up this pace as a picture and hitter for three more years. He will still be good in 3 years but not as great as he is this year and in the next couple of years. He should try to stick with the angels all of his career. And the angels live in Los Angeles and they should be able to pay him whatever he wants. And they should also be able to bring in the personnel and everything they need to make sure their team start challenging for the pennant. Look where the Yankees are right now. A bunch of bought and sold players with the biggest payroll in the world and yet their second fiddle to a team with a payroll less than one-third of theirs! Is that what shohei ohtani wants for himself? I don't think so.

Why does every Yankee fan think that every MLB player is dying to play for the Yankees? Giants right now have more financial resources than the Yankees, 100 million less in payroll commitments through 2023, and a deeper farm system. If the Giants want him and Ohtani wants to play for the best team in baseball there are zero obstacles.

I don't think Ohtani would do well with the Yankees. The Angels have one of the most pitcher friendly stadiums in MLB while Yankee stadium is a hitters park. Ohtani would give up so many home runs at Yankee stadium. And Yankees fans would boo him like crazy if he has a really rough start.... Angels fans don't do that.

Yankees fans would hate to see Ohtani in pinstripes. I remember Yankees fans threatened to kill Masahiro Tanakas wife and kids. Also, Yankees fans abused Hideki Irabu to suicide as well. Yankees even booed Hideki Matsui when he won WS MVP in 2009.

To be honest, if the front office can fix their problems in the next year or two, which I think they will. They have the ability to make a dynasty. If they pick up scherzer, and Verlander or Kershaw. They could become a contended. Maybe pick up a good short stop. They could be dangerous with ohtani, scherzer, and Verlander pitching, with ohtani, trout, and Rendon for run support. Albert is gone too. That opens up a lot of money. Also I think Ohtani will stay with the angels. It's rare that a Japanese player changes teams. They tend to be very loyal. And like I said. Strong foundation to build a good team. Maybe get buster posey to replace Suzuki though.
