This video shows my build of the Polar Lights 1:25th scale Richard Petty Torino Talladega stock car kit. I built the kit to participate in the 2017 cancer awareness group build hosted by Kenny at Mindless Modelworks.
I love it Boyd! I am not a NASCAR fan. But, I like these older stock cars. They have so much more character and it is a Petty car! What's not to like? Thanks for participating buddy!!
Very good job. Petty has always been my driver. Except for that one year. He wanted to drive the more aerodynamic Daytona but Chrysler said no, you're driving a Plymouth. So Richard replied no, I'm driving a ford and we were shocked. The superbird was created to get him back. I agree with that era of NASCAR. The 60' and 70's were the best. Did like the #21 mercurys as well
Hi I had the new release of this and the front clip looked like it ran into a ditch ,I carefully heated it and brought it all down to normal,I bought one of these polar lights same thing I’m going to fix it as well , they look great when finished great job sir, thanks
Boyd, I bought this kit after watching you build this one. Unfortunately the current kit does not come with the "Slicks" name brand slide decals like yours. But we'll see how they work out. ; ) Thanks for sharing this!
It's a group build where any modelers can join in and build a kit as a tribute to cancer awareness. Just paint the subject in the color of the cancer ribbon that you want to represent. You can find out more on the Mindless Modelworks RU-vid channel.
