Granted, I don't drive diesel just a little car to get me around. When I bought it a few years back it only cost about 22-25$ to fill it all the way. But nowadays with that inflation, I'm spending about 55-60$ a tank and now share a moment of solidarity with all the other guys at the gas station as we all fill our tanks up with our tears 😭
I noticed that the little kids aren't "rolling coal" around here anymore....generally fewer empty diesel pickups on the road. With you on the rice burner!! Put $45 in my Civic commute buggy the other day....stupid money to get to work.
I drive a O5 Ford F250 with a 35 gallon tank. Diesel is $5.60 a gallon so that's roughly $196.00 a week....every freakin' week. #FJB. #impeachthelyingbastard
@@cain2548 7.5L 460 cu in 16000 pound RV on a Ford E350 chassis is my daily driver. Needless to say I walk more than I used to walk. Drive to town. Walk every where I am needing then to the RV and then drive home. I don't move for days at a time sometimes. Can't afford it.
As a freight conductor i can assure you we are doing the best we can to deliver freight weeks late and never on time. Especially amongst this shortage.
I always let trucks merge/change lanes when I’m in the highway for that exact reason. If they miss their exit my shit might be delayed. Plus I drive around in a king bed crew cab with a 30’ trailer so I know the pain of trying to change lanes.
And as a regular citizen who doesn't shit in a milk jug, and bathes atleast once a day. I can assure you that we are all pretending to understand, while quietly hoping automation hits the freight industry first. 😁✊
We're ALL driving slower these days. It's GOT to be rough for the S.O.Bs...er cops, that have a quota of speeders they have to get. No one can afford to speed anymore. 😏 It's AMAZING the things you see and notice, when you're doing below the speed limit.😁...like the S.O.B (er cop) sitting in his little hiding spot not chasing anyone.😄.
They are saying diesel might hit 10 dollars a gallon in California. Not only that but California uses "eco friendly fuel" which is shitty and gives you less gas mileage. So you need to fill up more often.
I just quit my job last week because I was running late, and cited those reasons! 😂 Oddly enough in addition to the elusive workplace lunch break, there was a storm that day resulting in a power outage in the city, and everyone migrated to the outskirts for food.
yeah the ones that blames joe biden or any president for that matter kills me they ain't got nothing to do with it do you want them to nationalize the oil producers? lol
@@jacksmith-vs4ct You just proved my point exactly. Gas prices did not start skyrocketing until Joe shut down the Keystone pipeline and stopped leases on federal land.
Every single working person in this country need to go to their respective labor relations/human resources dept and claim exempt on their payroll pay checks. That will get the federal governments immediate attention!!! #taxationwithoutrepresentation
Yeah, $20 split between two 150 gallon tanks ain't going to fill even one of the fuel filters. 🤣🙄🤔😥 Dang! Now I have to pull up to the pumps. I'll burn more than $20 waiting for the guy at the pump to finish his half hour break. 😡
When my brother was fueling up our little Suzuki (that BTW self identifies as a Toyota) he was asked why we drive such a small car. At least when we fill up, it lasts longer than some big olde Cadirac (my nickname for Cadillac). Hell, it's even just as good as the Korean Garbage Cans (Hyundai and KIA which like Ford often circled the problem)
LOL...I have a neighbor like Ricky. Won't shut up about high gas prices but goes to the casino and blows $300 every week. Amazing how for some it's never their own poor life choices that are to blame.
I drive a little VW diesel Caddy p/u...45mpg....10 gallon fuel tank...cheapest diesel around here is $5.29...avg cost for each fill up a week worth of commute is most of $50. Even THAT thing costs me ~$200//mo (a not-insignificant % of my take-home) to drive back & forth. If fuel prices can hurt even with THAT economy...imagine the poor SOBs paying out of pocket for full size rigs. I have a 50+ mpg capable VW beater 2-door HB but the 'lil is damn near impossible to beat in the economy//utility dept outside of an EV p/u. I take that back it IS impossible to beat since don't owe payments. A recent development has become something of a blessing. Only bright side out of it is that I have 2 separate gas work trucks...one @ the local yard & another at the main. Take care of the local area once a week or more-as-needed which is 16-mi round trip to reach. The MAIN yard is 85-mi round trip to reach. Engine in the main yard truck locked up on me a over a month ago (had all fluids...but its a hand me down from Public Works so has more time on engine than the miles imply). Got to a work site...got done...went to drive off...nothing. Had to get towed back. This has meant I've been using the 11mpg local truck for all the work-related driving...drive 8 miles to pick it up...park @ end of day...then 8 miles back home all 5x a week. This helps MY pocket...not counting other errands I end up using in a week what I'd usually use in just ONE DAY in the VW. At work I'm the odd one out w/ the longer commute & the boss even said during a prior unrelated instance prior to the main truck dying...that didn't mind using the work truck for all the back & forth anyway. Public Works gets to take their trucks home & in my dept everyone lives 10min or (much) less away & just make the drive in.
I mean this was funny and a good one but tell me how I'm pissed that I laughed. Went from laughing 😃 to this mfr Ricky made me think about the 💩 fn government costing me money for their stupidity and greed 🤬
Ricky - Okay, you were laughing at me, knowing full well that I had to be somewhere else. You are about to find out what spite is all about. Hey, Roscoe, did you know that the safety guy wants you to put lotion on him?
The worst part is. It's completely true. Like come on. I haven't met a construction worker yet who at some point in there career hasn't gotten days mixed up and ended up on the wrong site. Lol. And the line for fuel. Dam. Ricky. Just make sure u don't take a lone out on the liver. U still need it for all the drinking u need after work.

Wow sometimes I don't have 10$ in my pocket and I have to drive across town and back home it's only by miracle of God I get back... I know the feeling...
I drive a semi and it takes me over 600 bucks every other day to fill. I think everybody, truck drivers, oil workers, truck stop employees, warehouses should all shut down and go home. The only option the government gets is, we will return to work when the democrats give up the Whitehouse and put Trump back. ABSOLUTELY NO OTHER OPTIONS WILL WORK.
I used to pump fuel at a full service truck stop while I was in tech. school, 1989, tax exempt on road was $0.87.9 a gallon, when it went to 90.9 all the CB Rambos were gonna "shut 'em down" .

Ricky is late because because he had to walk to work. Ricky had to walk to work because he can't afford to fuel up his vehicle. Ricky can't afford to fuel up his vehicle because politicians won't pass policy that would help lower fuel costs. Economies cannot run off of people who cannot travel to work.
Yeah, once it reaches the point you're paying to work somewhere, maybe, now just hear me out, but maybe it's time to polish up the old CV a bit, possibly toss a tad bit of fluff on it, expound at length on what your duties were/are/might-have-been, go into great detail on any cross-training you had or qualified for or heard mentioned when holding your waterglass to the boss' closed door (you can ignore any other names you hear; obviously they're talking about you and your supernova-grade skills and work ethics), expand a sentence or two into a full paragraph to make it easier to read, then give it a few minutes on the power buffer (really brings out the shine) and see what's what. Might wanna not say nothing until you get a solid bite or two on the line, though. Yeah, that'd probably be for the best.
Man inflation is fucking me up. 2 years ago I made 3 dollars more than a McDonald's cook n now they make a dollar more than me and I ain't get a raise yet
Filled up my tank and did a small grocery run yesterday. There went almost two weeks worth of budget funds in a day. Guess it's ramen noodles and yard dandelion green salads for the next two weeks :(
Damn, even Ricky has been affected by our oh so great gas crisis. I’m not naming names but I blame a certain person in a pretty high office in the US for that.
@@ulysses58599 I could say the exact same thing about you. A global crisis is not solely related to one political position in this case. Oil and gas companies posting record profits whilst continuing to increase prices despite the fact that crude oil is at a 3 month all time low though. Certainly seems like there's something there
@@TheRedkeyboard crazy that it only started to go up after Biden gets into office way before the war in Ukraine and after we stopped making it ourselves. You can say what you want about me but when diesel in some states costs 7 dollars a gallon meaning I spend several thousands of dollars to fill up my semi, I have to think that “maybe if we were just making our own gas again, not selling it to China, and not blaming Putin for it. Just maybe gas prices would go down”
