Hey thanks for the tip of Hwy 32. The wife and I are leaving North Eastern Missouri on the 20th heading to the Morehead City NC area. I was looking for a way on day 2 to get away from I-40. I'll check it out. Enjoy your channel for sure.

Yes I have ridden highway 32. It is a nice crooked road. About 60 miles northeast of Cosby is Rogersville Tn. You need to ride 66 to Sneedville and 70 to Jonesville Va. out of Rogersville.

We accidentally found this road 2 years ago. It was amazing!! Met about 4 cars and two of them were lost. Riding from Cosby, TN, we stopped where the pavement ends as we didn’t have prior knowledge of what was on the other side. Going back in two weeks. I’m sure we’ll have plenty of company this time.

I've gone thru 3 Wings in the last 20 years. I just move to and retired to East Tennessee. Because me and the Wing would often find roads turning to gravel/dirt, I picked up an Africa Twin Adventure Sport. The riding experience on that machine ruined the Goldwing (2016 with Traxxion full monty and heli bars) for me. It's such a barge by comparison and my wife no longer wants to ride so I traded it and the old Africa Twin in for a 2020 Africa Twin DCT. What a blast on and off road. And you can tour on it solo. You might want to rent one and ride into Arkansas . Your Wing will get dusty!

Hey Mike a few years ago while on Vacation with my wife we took a highway off of Interstate 81 at the Abington exit. Turn right on highway 58 I believe they call it the Jeb Stuart Highway. From Damascus to Volney it is a great ride. Sonya called it belly ache 58 because we were in our Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. The reason why I took it was to get on the Blue Ridge Parkway and work my way towards Tennessee at Cherokee. Ride Safe and nice video.

Looks like a great day and a great ride!! Good advice people are in way to big a hurry to go everywhere. They need to slow down and go no where but to go.

Mike it looks awesome! Not sure when I will make it up there again, I do know that it WILL be sometimes this year. Probably in late September or Early October.

Always try to ride the back roads. So peaceful, and often times I'll find a cool point of interest, like a small waterfall or something. Very nice!

We were just in Crosby today rode the Foothills Parkway from 129 the new section was great and I just seen this video tonight maybe check that out later this week

Hey Mike. I was just in Western NC with my 12 yrs old boy on the back. Did a quick motocamping trip with some BRP riding. We need to meetup soon! Next time your in Western NC let me know. You should visit Upstate SC too. We got some great mountain twisties. Peace brother.

Gravel road leads to a twisty road, Mike “challenge accepted.” As always I jealous of those roads.

You are correct Mike, sometimes the least traveled ones are the best. Next time I get that way I just may have to go there. WWWW2? Down this road one day! Lol

Hay mike i liv bout 10 mi from hwy32. Its great but BIG difference in it n dragon. Hwy32 is bout 11 mile with lik 175 curves n side roads connecting n driveways entering. The DRAGON is 11 miles with NO driveways n NO sideroads. Both great rds. U ride i40 to waterville exit accross river by 1936 powerplant then up to mt sterling. From my house 300mile in any direction, BEST roads on the planet.

Roads least traveled are definitely worth your time. Let's you take in the scenery from a different peaceful perspective. Wishing you two an awesome journey.

I love exploring the lesser known roads around the Smokies. There ain't a bad road in that whole region on my opinion.

MM, I really appreciate your videos on the road. I live in an area that is devoid of great scenery and switchbacks. I have been on a little bit of some back roads here in SW Oklahoma but nothing like what you have there. It is simply awesome to see the views you have. Keep up the great videos and keep the shiny side up.

Just now watching this one. YEP...my Dad and I have been on this one but went at it from the other direction. The area where it transitions asphalt/gravel is the NC/TN line and also where the Appalachian Trail runs through. Funny thing...we took a break there since we road there from Pigeon Forge and there were two bikes...then a couple cars who would stop and ask about the road turning to gravel which we didn't know. After a bit a guy in a jeep came up from the gravel side which we asked about. He said it winds around and then eventually to I40. Then it clicked why the folks we saw were traveling that direction. We decided to go for it and the winding gravel was a little tricky in places to say the least. BUT...that hw 32 is a great road. When we went on it about 5 years ago the road condition was almost new and it was so much fun!!!! It looked less than good in your video. Thanks for bringing that memory back, Mike.

Great video Mike. Some outstanding roads. I liked the unobstructed view. I may have hit some of those roads last year when Sharon and I were exploring down there. But we were in the car. 😢 How soon after you were on the dirt road did you give it a quick wipe down? Enjoy the rest of your trip.

Hwy 276 out of Waynesville NC. Better than the Dragon. Time to move to Knoxville, Mike. Work at UPS there...

Mike have you ridden the eastern park boundary road? I've driven it, actually made Cathy carsick but it might be something you haven't done. I'm hoping to head over there for about five days of riding in September. Where do ya'll usually stay when your there. We've got a timeshare in Gatlinburg but I was thinking of staying somewhere close to Maryville maybe even at the Knoxville airport Hilton. Looks like ya'll had some perfect weather.

Love the backroads myself. However here in the Ozarks you have a lot of blind hills, and turns. That in itself is not too bad, but the folks who run those roads tend to run them too damn fast.
