I saw this video on the morning before I played. I will NEVER go back to any other method to hit driver. I no longer hit at the ball. This turn allows you to swing through the ball. I finally got my drives to be about 220. (58) year old here and thrilled to have gained distance!!! Thank you for a very easy and doable golf swing.

Thanks once again Jess. Love this segment. Practiced it while wintering in Fernandina Beach and now bombing it in North Jersey. I am averaging 30 more yards on my drives. Fun! I now use this method with my irons and fairway woods. Hitting straight and long with no pain or soreness at all. The way you make your videos really make it simple. I am a fan.

I've watched hundreds of golf videos on YT over the years, trying to cobble together some semblance of a golf swing that had consistency and decent power. _THIS_ has been the _ONLY_ one that FINALLY made dimming light bulbs light up and ultimately got me _killing_ the driver (and ALL my clubs)! LOL!! This should put professional, expensive golf teachers to shame! Thanks for keeping it *simple* and finally opening my frustrated eyes to what truly gets the ball out there, mate!! 👍👏

Great video Jess! This will help me as well as many others with the backswing. My problem though is with the downswing and learning that hip slide that you make that is visible in the slow motion replay. I feel like that move is the hardest thing to learn in this swing and it doesn't get discussed enough in videos. Maybe because it's easier to teach that move in a personal lesson? But without it the consistency will not be there. Thanks again and please give us more downswing/hip movement drills and videos.

Very good points.... this should help stop my tendency of leaning back for more loft on a drive and keeping my weight shift more forward! Obviously, the more turn of hips/shoulders will translate into a more powerful down swing and greater distance. 👍

Changed my grip to your, changed stance to yours, setup with toes pointed out and ball of right foot even with my left heel like yours, Turned around torso ( no sway ), pulled thru hard with left arm to snap the whip... ( had to mentally aim right ), kept more weight on left, hammered the driver to within 100 yards of the green a couple times today...still have to practice for consistency... PS I use a Callaway 21, 11.5 degree driver. Thanks again...i have never been able to draw the ball...my quote was always "My kingdom to draw the ball"... I was told by a College coach last week that with my path, it would be impossible!. I setup like you do and my first shot yesterday was a4 Iron draw around and corner 60 yards from the green. I have watched all 625,349 videos on RU-vid about golf... I got great concepts from them... but your grip, stance, hip and arm movement, weight on left FOR ME... was the answer. Thanks again!! Seriously ... thanks!

Jess. Great video, excellent explanation. Circular motion! Brilliant! Great illustration that a lot of other stack and tilt instructors have not been communicating. I’ve studied stack and tilt for years. Big proponent of the system. However, I’ve been struggling with my swing and specifically my driving recently. I’m sick of getting out driven by guys twice my age who are in worse shape than me. I really appreciate this illustration. Any chance you can provide a suggestion to a video that you’ve done regarding the transition or swinging down from the top? Thanks again.

That tip is for irons I think also 🤔 on the Irons I’m just remembering straight arms because when I videotaped myself on the iPhone 📱 i could see my arms breaking down folding to much, exactly like the way you show it of what not to do. I think less of a back swing also will help me to keep the left arm straight … then right arm Straight on the follow through

Jess, thanks for all the great info. I’ve noticed neither yourself nor Tom Saguto lift your left heel off the ground in the backswing. Before I converted to S&T my left heel would come up in the backswing. When I converted it seemed like the right thing to do keep that heel down. Now I’m not so sure. What are your thoughts on lifting the left heel in the backswing? I experimented with it and it seems to free up my backswing but if it’s a rabbit hole I don’t want to go down, let’s figure that out now. Thank you in advance.
@JessFrankGolfAcademyBocaRaton

I don’t teach lifting the left heel because I just think for most people it puts too much weight on the back leg. Hope this helps. Also, lifting the left heel is a result of extending tilting and turning

Hi Jess. Brillaint video. I'm using your entire collection to re-start my golf after a bit of a lay off. Just wondering though, is ball position off left heel heel and should I keep my left arm straight as per your tilt and stack video swings.
@JessFrankGolfAcademyBocaRaton

Thank you Scotty! So happy to help! The ball position can vary depending on ball flight but standard is usually inside the left heel. Also, keeping the left arm straight is for the radius so just make sure you are doing it correctly:)

My goal has always been to break 90. I recently played a round and was really frustrated with the way I hit the ball. After watching you and Saguto's video I made the decision to try the S&L method. Six days later with no practice and just setting the weight on my front foot my score was 90. I was happy with it but am not satisfied. How much wieght should I be putting on my front foot. Sometimes when I take some swings here at home I feel like my trail foot is on the toe with the heel being slightly off the ground. Is there some way to know when I have it right. By the way great videos. Thanks

Hey Jess thanks for the tips. Stack and tilt has really changed my golf game giving me a consistent low point but I’ve really struggled being able to consistently use driver. On video the one thing that stands out to me with driver is seeing my head dip down in backswing. With this tip I find it looks like my head is moving away from the ball/target. Do you have any tips for this?
@JessFrankGolfAcademyBocaRaton

It's ok to have a little head movement away from the target with the driver swing. Sometimes golfers keep their weight forward and their head too far forward. Hope this helps!

You want to take it up another notch? …I would add a forth point. On your down swing as you are pivoting to your left leg/side brace your left leg and actually push back while moving your arms/hands towards the impact position. Your swing speed is going to increase and you’re actually using your legs as anchor points for increasing club speed and naturally ball speed. This is the modern swing you’re seeing the pros do today. They know how to use the ground to leverage their swings to get everything out of it.

I’m assuming if your left shoulder is the middle of your swing that your left hand must do a lot of the release and your right hand is just very lightly holding the club is that right?

Not exactly the left shoulder is the center of rotation. The right hand, arm and shoulder also play a huge part in the swing!

Thanks for the videos, I'm relearning my swing after recent surgery and stack and tilt seems to be helping. I understand the concept of weight centering and not shifting it away from the target, approx. 70/30 forward. Between p3 and p4 in my old conventional swing I would start my forward move with my left knee toward the target using my right foot instep for leverage. I see that in S&T the forward move is basically the same but I still feel that I need to use my right foot to start the forward move for leverage, which of course gives me the feeling of more weight on my right side. Is this a normal feeling or am I missing something in my weight transfer move? Thanks again and carry on with the good work.

Like my mother said when she was trying to dress me as a toddler, Stand Still! Keep pounding it into my thick head Frank. It helps. 😇

Getting the club high in the back swing like this promotes a steep angle coming down in which you will sky the ball. It is much better to stay on a flatter swing plan. Stack and tilt doesn't work for most golfers. Too much changing direction of the club.

Hi James thanks for your feedback! Have a great day:)

Seriously? U want us to take your word as to where and how far it goes?why not some proof? Plus 270 really isn't that far.a weight shift swing adds more distance
