Local French Sportives - curious things...
OK, we are all used to big, super organised (sometimes too organised in the UK) but in France you get a lot of small local sportives that pop up in the Summer - no website, no booking in, no route preview, just the odd poster around and you turn up and ride (don`t even think about timing chips...).
Here we have a go at a small local Sportive and as its France, what better vintage bike than Richard Virenques 1992 RMO TVT - its a fine bike and well suited to these roads - went rather well after what happened...
Basically two local cycling teams kind of battled it out - in and offs, high pace, riders getting dropped - turned out to be a lot of fun!
