The best part about Con Lentitud Poderosa is that if you walk without sprinting from the start of the level towards the opening of the 'cave' you start in , the drop kicks in right as you walk out.
Chris Christodoulou's work on Risk of Rain is the only other VGM I put up there with Guilty Gear, it's just so damn good. The Raindrop that Fell to the Sky is criminally underrated Edit: 13:43 lmao
The Rain Formerly Known as Purple is an omage to Prince's Purple Rain. I honesly have completely forgot about Prince untill I gave Risk of Rain a try, come to appreciate his music much more than years ago
@@54fedase90 and "you're gonna need a bigger ukulele" is a reference to "jaws" "you're gonna need a bigger boat" and even has the hidden iconic "dun dun"
The title screen OST aptly named "Risk of Rain 2" is highly underrated imo. It's the second ost you hear in the game, but already gives a massive impression of the musical storytelling this game has to offer.
I recommend listening to The Raindrop that Fell to the Sky, Antarctic Oscillation and They Might As Well Be Dead, all of them from Risk of Rain 2. Chris has a lot of great tracks, outside of RoR2 too, I can't list them all since there's too much of them. RoR1/RoRR has a lot of bangers, Deadbolt is really cool, even some less known music like TSWCE are amazing
Id strongly recommend "Having Fallen it was Blood" from the survivors of the void dlc and the fan favorite "Coalescence" from the first game. I also personally love the song "Undead Man Walkin' " from the game deadbolt
Chris Christodoulou has made some of my all time favorite VGM music of all time. Hope to see more, because Chris is just an insanely talented musician. And if you do check out more Risk of Rain, I also recommend checking out his music for Deadbolt aswell. Some honorable mentions from Deadbolt are: Now I Am Become Death. Blood on the Dancefloor. Dies Irae. Ashes to Ashes, to Ashes (to Ashes) (Defunktorum is also good, but idk if its enough for a reaction) And a Fun Fact: in my playlist statistics from this year, I have listened to 5,800 minutes (96 hours) of Chris Christodoulou music with him as my most played artist. (Guilty Gear is also in 3rd with 2,000 minutes played or 33 hours)
Oh you have opened a can of bangers. Always willing to gives these a listen with an internet friend and yes its normal to love this lolol , The solos are always so incredible in this, while also bein chill as fuck thanks Jhulian
Everyone has already suggested some absolute bangers for you to listen to from this soundtrack, could literally pick any of them and it's a banger. One of note that hasn't been mentioned so far is Coalescence from Risk of Rain 1. Basically anything Chris has done is S tier though so just pick anything and you'll enjoy it.
To keep along this same vein, you should check out "They Might as Well be Dead" and "Once upon a Lullaby" from the Survivors of the Void DLC of Risk of Rain 2
Risk of Rain isn’t a video game, it’s a playable lesson in exponential growth. con Lentitud Ponderosa is the song that plays on the last stage, and at that point, you’re basically melting whatever comes your way just by looking at them. The song just feels like screaming at this universe for everything it’s put you through in the past 40 mins to (optional) multiple hours. The Rain Formerly Known as Purple is played in the second to last stage, where you choose to either move on to the final area or loop back to the start to get even stronger. It’s such a beautiful trance
Having watched and discovered your through you Guilty gear reactions. I don't think i can explain how hyped i am for this video! I've managed to learn more about the structure of music in the short time i watched your content than ever so thanks! If you end up loving RoR2's OST i IMPLORE YOU to check out RoR 1 and then RoR returns "return" tracks (essentially remakes of RoR 1 songs.)
Risk of rain 2, and by extension, risk of rain 1 both have such amazing, complex songs. Every song surprises me. Chris does everything himself, however from what i've heard, he just doesn't do drums as he doesn't have space in his home studio, and so, he does drums digitally. Would love to see more! It's always so amazing to see others get blown away with practically every song 😅 I would personally recommend the track 'Terra Pluviam' from the same 🔥
"A rain formerly known as purple" is also a homage to "purple rain" from Prince, the title is a poke at when Prince had to change his artist name and news outlets would call him "the artist formerly known as Prince"
this vid made me redownload risk of rain again, i remember when i used to play it with my friends and we would stay in the purple map for much longer than we should have for the run just listening to that song. TIP: the song the rain formerly known as purple is reference to prince, for some time prince used to call himself the artist formerly known as prince
Game osts are so cool, I would recommend 2 for future videos, ultrakill and my friend Pedro, ultrakill’s is very extensive so you could do a multi part series while my friend Pedro is only 4 songs in the ost, definitely worth a listen
Raindrop that fell into the sky is my favourite track to this game. It brings me on an emotional rollercoaster of space and time listening to it. Although every track is amazing. this one sticks out for me.
12:29 yeah they are basically mercenaries from space lol, also it's worth noting that during gameplay there is a lot of gunfire so maybe that's why the soundtrack is not too complex.
I'll be honest, you really got the best 2 on the first video, imo. But the rest of the tracks are still works of synth mastery. You should react to Once Upon a Lullaby from the dlc
Honestly, ...con lentitude poderosa being a sorta tense peace is spot on, its the theme of what is very much an eye of the storm sorta portion of the game
It's not a game OST, but I really hope you could check out the Jujutsu Kaisen OST sometime!! Yoshimasa Terui and Alisa Okehazama went crazy on the soundtrack, especially in the 2nd season, and I think you'll like Working Overtime, Physical Gifted, and Self-embodiment of Perfection quite a bit!
Coalescence is one of my favorite tracks in ROR, when I heard the opening section of con lentitud ponderosa it gave me the galaxy brain moment of the series.
RoR soundtracks are sooooo good and You don't need to react to it but i recommend you to listen to "once in a lullaby", also from Risk of rain 2 and it came with the first DLC for the Game and its such a precious song. Chris is a great composer
the game is about you trying to survive alien enviroment and escape back home all the while you are fighting hordes of enemies while the games difficulty is raising the longer you play so there is constant sense of mild urgency and chaos that is accompanied by ridicilously calming and passionate soundtrack. I highly recommend the game, it is actually ironically casual compared to what is happening on the screen most of the time and better yet it is coop meaning you can invite up to 4 of your friends to join you on your adventures so all of you can chill with this beauty of a soundtrack.
