I like this concept. Might need to dive in that discord a little bit. Edit - people should think it's good, both for the game and the list maker, if characters move up and down without direct buffs... It's a good sign.
10:53 mb Diaphone, wasn't trying to call you out haha! Thanks for including your response in the video - I'll ask around and try to look for those combos/setplay and see if I can incorporate them. Gotta break into S+ rank _sometime_ ...
I also play zooey, and the best way I've found to find combos and setplay is to keep an eye out for tournament vods that top zooey players have played in, like Synn and Koujicoco (although coco also plays nier). For example, you can find the vod for clover clash #16 on youtube, where Synn played a bunch of matches. Alternatively, in-game you can look at the leaderboards, set it to top ranked zooey players, and look at their replays directly.
I'm also a zooey main, and the best way I've found to get combos and tech is to keep an eye out for tournament vods where top zooey players like Synn and Koujicoco have played (although coco also plays nier). For example, you can find the vod for clover clash #16 on youtube, where synn played several matches. Alternatively, in game under leaderboards, you can sort by top ranked zooey players, and watch their replays directly.
Ayyyy, thanks for answering my plight! I've since learned quite a bit about my issue, and it's helped alot. The idea of it just being a flowchart issue also helps me understand that I may not be understanding others flowcharts fast enough. Anyway it's helped alot, thank you for your videos
6:50 my bad diaphone I definitely could've worded my question shorter/clearer, and wasn't clear that it was about gbvsr, but thank you fr for your answer I appreciate it! I think that both things you mentioned are right, I both don't know how to properly stop what people are doing, but also play it too safe in neutral I think, which means I don't stop people from running their offense but then also don't make it risky or difficult for them to open me up. I'll try to practice matchup specific recognition more and look up how to be more assertive in neutral and get into ranges where my options are threatening 👍
People should post what game they're playing a lot and what character they're playing. Context clues are always gonna help bridge the gap of vagueness in a question. "I'm not scared of you" coming from a blazblue background makes me think that when they score a hit, the conversion or oki or both are shaky. But in a different game, the optimized damage is less important than reliably scoring the hit. But in blazblue, I can kind of just "turn off my brain" knowing if we trade 50/50 on interactions, I do more damage from my hits and win. The actionable advice is hard to apply, because it's mostly a gap in combo knowledge. There might be applicable advice in interactions, but if I'm relaxed during neutral not minding what's happening, the interactions are secondary at that point.
