Sixteen-time World Champion Phil Taylor and five-time World Champion Raymond van Barneveld join us to look back on some of their most iconic encounters throughout a rivalry spanning two decades.
There won't be a rivalry like this again because we wondered if we'd ever see it. Taylor was PDC and Barney was BDO and we'd only had the Wembley showdown. When he finally came over and then won the 2007 final, it pushed darts to another level. Awsome.
Greatest two darts players ever and greatest rivalry ever the hype coming to there games un matched and that world final in 06 never forget it, darts will never be the same, pity the way the crowds have gone now was a better crowd back then more respect in them days
@@linokleinmeuleman3348 uou judge this man but you weren't the one playing the best players in the world he did. If you are going to win the world championship sixteen times you had better be very arrogant. Like Phil said you have to get in their head you can beat them
I kinda agree, but MVG and Andersen aren't really rivals apart from the fact they are the two best players in the world right now. The feeling and intentions are way different then it was between Raymond and Phil.
I dont agree! Anderson and v. Gerwen have both same worldtitles barney has in total.. and then there is phil taylor 16 times champion of the world.. barney and taylor are a class a part..legends!! maybe in the future v gerwen and anderson can get there but i dont see that happen cause there are too many topplayers nowadays who can win the worldtitle..
When throwing for the bull, the first arrow has to be removed. In the 2007 final, Phil threw 25 and Ray asked to leave it in, so he could use that dart as a guide and his dart went in to the bullseye. So after that, players weren't allowed anymore to leave the first one in.
John Smith Peter Wright and Michael Smith have been challenging and beating him this year as well as Jeffrey De Zwaan so there are a few that are challenging
I agree a rivalry like MVG Vs Anderson is better then RVB Vs Taylor i mean how can you call it a rivalry really when Taylor has beat him 200 times. People seem to base things historically instead of really thinking about the rivalry.
