Amazing to see the little toy squirt gun because over here in England I found one about 6 months ago but could not at the time work out what it was initially. 🤔. After doing some research I found out what it was then amazingly a fellow club member found one a few weeks back. 😀. HH. 🙂.
Great finds as always Tom! No luck here in the North. Two trips to the lake. First one made impossible by 3-4 feet of seaweed muck. Few weeks later it created out, but only found a few dozen pull tabs...zero signals but those dam tabs...smdh
Gday from oz,i thought i would let you know i returned a usnr ww11 dogtag found here in brisbane he was from Chicago a radio station in Chicago found his son and granddaughter for me,story is in the Chicago sun newspaper. Great hunt.
Well thank you my friend. Makes sense that would be out there because I have old pictures of this spot where they would drive across a concrete dam and one was washing his model t. You can see the water flowing through the spokes of the wheels. Now I have to dig it out of my scrap bucket !!
@@hiluxyota7200 Thank you for the reply. Funny thing is I only learnt what they were from another metal detecting video a few months back. 😀. I have dug up a few down the years over here in England but threw them out not knowing what they were. 😟. To most people there would be no interest but all my family are a bit car mad so they are an interesting part of the history of motor vehicles and worth keeping. 🙂.
@@myview1875 Another possibility is these are used on various military personal carrier items such as shovels and gas masks. Just as y'all have discussed, they are snap buttons that I remember seeing/using throughout my military career to stow items in their containers and fasten close.
@@brentk4418 Yes I have seen those clasps also. I pointed to them being off Ford model T's because a detectorist in usa said he had seen them on those cars. 🙂.
I have bought new and used. Hunting rivers and beaches is hard on them with being covered in sand and mud and being constantly under water in your pockets. They just don’t last. Specially in those environments. Land hunting I’m sure I would still be on the first one I ever bought.
