Rob Zombie had a very unique sound and the Hellbilly Deluxe album was a masterpiece, Living dead girl, Demonoid phenomenon, Meet the Creeper, Superbeast and Dragula are all sensational songs ⚡️

Great performance from Rob and the band. You'd never see this type of music on late night tv now. Those were the days.

I had a college radio show in the 90's and would record stuff like this on VHS and later drop to MiniDisc so I could play it on the air of our little middle-of-nowhere station. I remember coming out of this one saying "Rob needs some breathing exercises."

FACT: The song is about the coffin drag racing car ‘DRAG-U-LA’ on the tv show The Munsters. The fiberglass body of DRAG-U-LA was built from a coffin that Richard "Korky" Korkes, Barris's project engineer, was able to purchase from a funeral home in North Hollywood. Korkes said in 2013 that it was illegal to sell a coffin without a death certificate, so he made a deal with the funeral director to pay in cash and have the coffin left outside the rear door to be collected after dark. The car had a 350HP, 289ci Ford Mustang V-8 engine with a four-speed stick shift.[1] It had two four-barrel carburetors mounted on a Edelbrock Ram-Thrust manifold. The carburetors were mounted backwards in an effort to save space and the pull type throttle actuation modified into a pusher type. The rear tires were 10.00-15 Firestone racing slicks, mounted on custom 10-inch Radir aluminum and steel wheels. Each hubcap was decorated with a large silver spider. The front tires were 4-inch Italian tires on Speedsport English buggy wire wheels. To extend the Gothic motif further, Barris installed four Zoomie style organ pipes on each side of the car in lieu of a standard exhaust pipe, and mounted antique lamps on the front and rear. The front of the vehicle sported a marble gravestone-supposedly Grandpa Munster's license plate "from the Old Country"-with the inscription: "Born 1367, Died ?". A "hidden" radiator was topped with a small golden casket. The driver sat in the rear of the vehicle behind the engine, under a plastic bubble.

Over 20 years ago Rob Zombie had these pyrotechnics going off on stage in Somerset Wisconsin and these giant green balls of fire were launching into the air.. It was awesome and I was up on this hill and the pit was so rowdy that the whole ground started to shake as if there were an earthquake.

honestly looking up "dragula live" I did not expect to see it on letterman. i've seen some other groups i like on letterman its cool how varied the artists he had was. I feel like him and conan had some of the most unique

Security guard that I work with used to work for a nearby concert venue. He said Rob was one of the nicest guys he ever met

Thank God these talk shows have had so many great musicians on from bands to solo artists. My favorite though is hard rock and heavy metal, just like here with Rob. He's always worked with great band members too. They were great here. Thank you Mr. Letterman.

Second half of the first verse is the best I've heard him sound live. He goes full Zombie by the chorus though and never recovers.

Their are three types of live performances. The type where the singer sounds just like the music video and doesn’t need and autotunning or sound studio to be good. The one that sounds a little off but is still a good singer. The last being is that the can’t sing at all and need auto tune and all the other bells and whistles. You guess what category this fits in.

I like it. Cause you know it ain't lipsynced like most performances on TV.

This is so typical of musicians and bands that write and record something in the studio then find that the singer can't actually get enough of a breath to deliver the lines properly. Rob's vocals were the correct pitch in this, however he did not have enough breath in his lungs to deliver all the words per the recording. For reference, see live performances by Sebastian Bach, Vince Neil, Tom Keiffer, Cory Taylor, etc, etc, etc

Seeing Rob Zombie playing live is absolutely amazing and anyone who knows Rob Zombie, he has terrible adhd and he gets distracted easily. At Ozzfest he stopped playing to tell security not to take out a rowdy fan because he was their biggest fan. It was funny as hell. and he is a hell of a performer
