Holy stuff did u see peewees halloween mock up trailer its fits real well and makes peewee seem like a legit pycho rob was a pa on playhouse and directed halloweeen also weired
Miss those days. I get really sad now when I think about how happy I was back then. All it took was a simple show, like Pee Wee, GI Joe, He-Man, to start the day off great. Saturday morning was our time. Kids today dont know what they missed. We had it made. Now, life is just a series of disappointments and drudgery, with a few good times sparsely mixed in. If I had a time machine, I would go back and watch Saturday morning cartoons with myself and my siblings, and hug them all tightly, and go see my grandma.
Zombie's a pretty cool dude. 16 year old me listening to White Zombie and flipping through the album inserts back in the day would've never imagined such a grounded, conversational guy.
"It's like I feel like my whole life I could of got hit by that car I just didn't" Rob is droppin gems thru this whole interview.. Really good interview and back and forth convo.
Maybe I’m speaking for a crowd here, I just watched the full interview at work this morning and it was one of the most interesting podcasts joe has had so far:
Yeah he meant when they first started. They really just made noise. God of thunder ep (first with Jay as a member) was their first push more towards actual arrangement and metal elements. Then sexorcisto blew the doors open
@@morsteen the only early white zombie stuff I personally liked before la sexorcisto was gods on voodoo moon and psycho head blowout. Make them die slowly I'm still "eh" on. But like you said, noise. Haha
@@EwChris Wow that's interesting. Yeah make them die slowly COULD have been a legit good album, but the production and songwriting just wasn't really there yet. But you can hear hints of some good thrashy/heavy/groovy stuff there. If it could be re-recorded it could be very good.
It's funny because you guys had all these great experiences with Rob zombie...and you guys keep on talking about it and talking about it and talking about it while I had an absolute fucking shit experience with that ass hole.why can't us disgruntled fans express our hatred towards his fucking attitude and are fucking hatred towards his fucking piss ass fucking performance...I have seen many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many fucking bandsRob zombie by Far on the bottom of that list along with tulle I saw tool two years ago absolute fucking garbage. Jesus anybody could have good visual effectsseriously we're all you do is just stand there playing your guitar fucking not doing anyting banking on all that fucking money not putting on a show fucking pathetic.... hell I work at a one direction concert one time and I got to stay guys one direction put on a better show then the rolling Stones Rob zombie tool...All these bands that are supposed to be so fucking great... Oh and Marilyn Manson he was sober but garbage... Pretty bad when you guys are getting all performed by boy bands I'm not ashamed to say... I saw Black Sabbath for the first time three years they fucking kicked assnone of these so-called rockstars has anything I'm fucking Ozzy Osbourne he was running around the stage rocking it out...everybody got a solo in the band and when they were doing the solo the whole battle to get off stage... I'm glad you guys had a great experience's.... Are you guys need to realize these artists also put on shyt shows
mark hackly wow 😮. Dude are you saying that the boy band One Direction is better than the Rolling “fucking” Stones, and the band TOOL is garbage?. You Sir have NO ROOM TO TALK . Also, please can you just learn to type semi-correctly? I’ve received text message from people half dead from an drunken 🥴 bender that can type a sentence structure better than you. But other than that, I am sure that you are pretty damn cool since you like Ozzy.
In 2012 he put on one of my favorite shows I’ve ever been to till this day. The mechanical giant beast shooting fire from its mouth in the middle of the song like, no one else does that. He’s such a legend.
We needed rob to live every moment of his life so he could write, direct, and make all the wonderfull things he has. All for me when and where I saw n heard it. Every book, song, movie, etc you made for yourself. I am everyone I am the universe :)
I remember first time I ever heard White Zombie, was walking out of junior high and someone drove by with it cranked. One of those life changing moments. I turn 40 in a few weeks. Still listening!
I had a Friend who joined their road crew before "La Sexorcisto" came out...he couldn't stop talking about White Zombie...when that album dropped, I instantly agreed with his opinion...I miss that band...and
My first time hearing White Zombie was "I am Hell" on the Beavis and Butthead Experience CD. I immediately went out and bought La Sexorcisto: Devil Music Volume 1. I didn't know a single song, but I listened to that album from beginning to end, over and over. It is still one of my all time favorites! I wish Rob Zombie's newer music sounded more like Devil Music Volume 1
Regardless of how you feel about the movie, there's a 4 hour documentary about the making of Rob Zombie's Halloween. My respect for him grew leaps and bounds after watching it. Very methodical yet laid-back dude. I highly recommend it.
It's so odd listening to Rob Zombie, reminisce and critique his band White Zombie, and remark about how bad it was. I remember when I first heard White Zombie, I was so blown away at how original and unique it was. And then to hear that he wasn't a trained musician. No wonder White Zombie was so unconventional. I really liked it.
White Zombie was the first band poster I had in my bedroom growing up. La Sexorcisto: Devil Music Volume 1 and astro creep 2000 are still great albums.
Agree. Really fucking cool albums. My first poster was white zombie as well in 95'. Rocked the shirts to middle school all the time and still do! Really really great albums. So different compared to anything else.
Yeah I like WZ way better THAN rob zombie. His stuff departed too far from their metal/groove formula on sexorcisto. Went too far to standard electronic boring beats.
