It was wonderful that Robert stigwood picked up the Bee Gees and made them famous and I'm glad he was hard on them to because you have to stick to the schedule and do what you're supposed to do and he had so much love and so much faith he worked with a lot of artists but the Bee Gees should be proud of him and so am I
interested mostly in Barry, lovely tribute but I had a hard time with the fidelity and my hearing to decipher who was speaking and what they were referring to in many cases. What a Godsend for the performers and friends and colleagues Stiggy's life touched.
Wow, Barry was finally starting to show his age. He was tall and lanky for so many years. Then he filled out just right. I have to assume that his painful arthritis has something to do with his weight gain. The changes in your body as you age can do it, but I bet not being able to be to active contributes to it. I am a tall woman and gained about 25 pounds from age 70 to 74. Its a struggle, even though I was slender ALL my life until then. I lost it all due to a recent serious illness but the doctor said that is a very bad way to lose weight….but I am healthy again and feel the illness was almost worth it……8-). Glad I kept all the clothes that I really loved! I am wearing them all again!
@@gloriamaryhaywood2217 I’m glad he lost the weight. You feel better when you aren’t carrying those extra pounds. Especially when you have been slender all your life. And it is healthier for you. I have arthritis like he does and it keeps you from doing allot of active things you would otherwise do. That’s a big part of how weight creeps up on people who have always been slim. And he has talked about his “couch potato” periods….
@@cababyboomerq6012 Yes, I'm sure Barry's arthritis has contributed to a lot of health issues. I'm pretty sure he actually has 'rheumatoid' arthritis. And that's caused by an auto-immune disorder. It generally affects sooo much more than just the joints!😲 I noticed in pics and videos of him in recent years, that even when he bent down to pick up his little grandchild that Barry used his arms to lift her and NOT his hands? That made me feel sad that his arthritis has progressed so much!😰 I have to say that I adore all the brothers but my fave has always been Robin. But I am so glad that we still have Barry on this planet with us!💜
@@gloriamaryhaywood2217 i am pretty sure he has both kinds of Arthritis. Lots of people do. And at this point in his life, that will be dictating what can and can not do anymore. But then that comes with age for almost all of us at some point
Barry, maybe Robert called you on the 1st of May every year cause you wrote a lovely song called "First of May". Maybe it meant something special to Robert.(?) Just a guess. Cheers.
