For a lot of kids, lawn mower engines were their first experience working on vehicles, usually a Briggs & Stratton engine, installed in a go cart or minibike. That is why your station is so fascinating. It’s like being a kid again, having fun with motors.
Me! First motor I Ever fixed was my dads Briggs & Stratton aerator. He still has it and uses it, 10 years later. Im handier now, but that's where it all started.
I almost wish I was late to this party so I could binge watch all the series - though at my age if i wait another year or two I'l have forgotten a lot of it and have to re-binge
Robot Cantina is the most stress reducing channel in my cache. Jimbo has a good sense of humor and is ingenious. His shenanigans are my Sunday morning habit.
Accidently stumbled upon your channel almost a year ago. Since then I have purposely followed it. I love your content and it's just flat out entertaining to watch. Keep up the great work! Can't wait to see how Kubota Saturn turns out as well as the Renault!
You earned a subscriber sir. Keep up your crazy good work. You’re correct nobody asked these questions but they are questions we all want answers to and you provide it. Thank you sir
I very much enjoy Jimbo's channel. I didn't see much of the Prius episodes, but did see a few of the Saturn episodes. I've paid attention through the Renault/Predator mods, and now we have added the diesel Prius mods to the tail end of the Renault mods. ALWAYS interesting. And yeah, there's "Meh" too.
Great videos with your crazy projects. :D To bad you couldn't try these projects with a old Ford Festiva car. I myself loved those 1990 cars as in city got 47MPH Would be interesting to see what kind of gas millage you could get with even a smaller engine. :D
Full size car? Let’s install them in a 70 Olds 98 Regency. Cross support the front of the trans and a flex plate for the 400 tranny . Swap out the old p 225/15 and replace with 185 for gearing. Swap out the rear gear for 5.13:1
I think the next one is going to be a ride-on landbouwer v twin briggs and stratton 28 horsepower Vanguard commercial Quality Maybe you can find old stiga at the scrapyard
A haiku is an unrhymed Japanese poetic form that consists of 17 syllables arranged in three lines containing five, seven, and five syllables, respectively. A haiku expresses much and suggests more in the fewest possible words.
Nah thats way too much. Dont forget, these are relatively small, slippery cars that are also very light. About 20-25 is more like it I think. A fun experiment is, If you got a cheap 5 buck OBD dongle and a smartphone app, you can check the data yourself from your own car. Just set cruise control to 70mph GPS speed on a flat road and check both directions, the ECU protocol that calculates horsepower is already in there. About 20 crank horsepower is enough for most smaller cars to do 60mph, for example.
I have an 04 Pontiac Grand Am 4door 3055lbs that I'd let ya practice on it cause even though I have mechanical skills, I wouldn't have a clue how to do it cause where I live I have mountainous roads to travel plus the road to my house is pretty steep...If I could fund it I wouldn't mind trying it cause I'm pretty sure that my electric fuel pump in my gas tank would keep gasoline traveling to the engine lol...I'm trying to figure out how to do it with the transmission still in it cause it would help me with the mph and going up hills with mountainous roads. I just don't think that the engine will hold up very long without a way to keep the oil cool so the engine doesn't heat up and blow. It happens to riding mowers and I'm pretty sure it won't last very long in an automobile with mountainous roads. I think a diesel would work better maybe but I don't know lol
Jimbo, _please_ never stop asking that kind of question. You do more than discover, more than entertain... I'm autistic, I'm Disabled, I can barely cope with adulting and I'm three years short and probably a couple hundred pounds beyond that stupid rom-com with Steve Carell and the Forty Yard Line Of Life in the title. My chronic pain and energy/fatigue issues keep my ever-widening posterior either firmly glued to this godforsaken desk chair or to the scant few hundred feet I can hobble, painfully, and puffing like a wolf in an asthma commercial, with the aid of my walking stick. But every week, for a half hour or so, I get to pretend I have this cool friend in Kansas who tinkers with cars and engines in ways that would likely lead me to question my own sanity (well, even more than I already do sometimes) were I to even _contemplate_ attempting such a thing, and it makes the loneliness fade just a little, for just a little while. Thank you for doing what you do, and please don't ever stop. By the way, my late uncle was named Jim. He died of a heart attack in 2009, a kindly fellow who loved hot rods, classic cars, and tube radios, and whose life was tragically nowhere near what it could have been, and arguably should have been... a victim of both choice and of circumstance that, together, condemned him to a life unfulfilled.
i came here to watch Honda Insight content years ago, but you drifted away with some Saturn nonsense. Please bring back the Insigh and I'll have the most loyal audience. Till then take care.
Why don’t we pay more attention to who our farmers are? We would never be as careless choosing an auto mechanic or babysitter as we are about who grows our food.😉
This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness.
I think your videos are awesome. Butttt "Pushing them to their limits" is kinda a stretch imo. I've seen a blown head gasket but I want some real carnage, where the bent rods and the pistons in orbit?!? MORE BOOST!
Next time you’re frustrated with mechanical troubles or stuck paying a bill for repairs, just remember how many parts go into even the simplest of vehicles.
Because of everything going on under the hood and everywhere else, staying in tune with your vehicle and committing to regular maintenance is absolutely essential to keeping your ride on the road.
Macchiato: a macchiato is a strong coffee, often considered the middle ground between a cappuccino and an espresso. Made by adding a dash of hot milk to a shot of espresso, the name is derived from the Italian word meaning spotted, marked, or stained. You may also come across a macchiato listed as a cafe or espresso macchiato.
Mocha: Mocha is a great drink, which combines coffee with chocolate and hot milk. It originates from the port of Mocha, where Portuguese traders came up with the novel idea of adding chocolate to their coffee.
Latte: the indulgent latte is one of the most popular coffee bar orders. This indulgence is made using hot milk and a shot of espresso. A latte is a creamy, decadent coffee ideal for those looking for something sweeter than an espresso or a macchiato. A latte contains around ⅔ milk, and it is usually served in a tall glass. A barista may add chocolate powder for aesthetic impact. It’s widespread nowadays to order flavored lattes. Popular options include caramel, coconut, vanilla, and hazelnut.
Flat white: this is a foamy, milky creation, which is particularly popular in the USA. The flat white is similar to a cappuccino but contains more milk.
