It is the Bank of Canada Act, not the constitution. The constitution says nothing about the Bank of Canada. Much of what Galati claims in this clip is false. The Bank of Canada still lends to the government the same way it did before 1974. It never held more than 25% of the federal debt.

That is the myth many of his followers believe. In fact he lost this case and made many false unsubstantiated claims in this video. I would have thought a good lawyer would at least get his facts right.

It is over. Rocco Galati and COMER lost all five times a court ruled on it and in 2017 the Supreme Court refused to hear their appeal. Much of what Galati claimed in this interview was wrong. The Bank of Canada still lends to the government the same way it always has. Its mandate was never to lend interest free to the government.

The petition was addressed by the Finance Minister. What Galati claimed never happened. The Bank of Canada still lends to the federal government the same way it did before 1974. It did not stop. It never really lent to the provinces or municipalities. That is all well documented from a number of sources.

COMER lost again. They appealed. The appeal was heard December 7, 2016. They lost that appeal and have asked to appeal to the Supreme Court.

You can flush the Constitution and any faith in the legal system down the toilet if COMERS ends up losing this in court. What it will mean is that laws can be sh&t on by banksters as and when they please and you are nothing more than a serf in a corrupt governmental & now judicial system.

The nation has paid out hundreds of billions in interest payments alone to private banks which are little more than rent seeking scammers adding zero value to any enterprise. The theme in both the US and Canada is for parasitic banksters to bribe politicians in power to legalize their fraud & theft from the productive people of the nation. It has never required it. The private sector (banks, insurance companies, pensions, businesses and individuals) has lent to the government since 1867. It was a loan and interest was charged. It has been paid back.

People talk about the Liberals changing over to usury but all PMs since 1974 are responsible because they simply did nothing about it.

That is because there is nothing to change back to. What Galati claimed was false. The Bank of Canada still lends to the government the same way it has since its creation in 1935. It did not stop or reduce lending in 1974. As someone who leans more libertarian, Bernier is opposed to the Bank of Canada lending more to finance government deficits.
