Just want to to share how much I appreciated the map and detailed explanations most yt videos don't show the spots how to get there and other details on how to fishs. I'm about 40 mins away and did not know this spot existed will definitely come here.
Thanks! Deep Creek is a beautiful spot to fish. This particular place was hard to get to. Very strenuous walk so make sure you are up for that! We loved it and don't mind the hard yakka.
Thanks for the nice feedback. Generally, we do not know what we are getting into on days like this one as we had never been there before. Our original intent was to fish Deep Creek Cove proper, but we felt once we got there it did not look that good for fishing. So, we back tracked all the way back to this spot and the rest is history. We do like to share our locations when we find them, however if someone shares a 'secret spot' with us we will not share the location 😉. Thanks for watching our vids.
I agree, I love that she shows the access as well as the fishing. I have one new knee and getting the other one later this year and I couldnt have done that either.
@@fishingsister only been as far as the Glenelg River, really should plan a trip over there. Any recommendations of spots, especially somewhere I can target bream?
@@PurplePatchFishing well I just love Kangaroo Island because the fish are plentiful. There are beaches as well as rivers to fish which makes for nice variety. I caught a lovely bream at Western River Cove :) In metro Adelaide people catch black bream at Port River and also West Lakes but I have not tried this as yet. So many places to fish!
Hey guys, loved the clip, I’ll have to check out more of deep creek! Could you tell us a bit more about your telescopic rods and how they compare with a normal set up? Cheers
We picked them up from our local tackle shop. They are shimano rods. Mine was under $50! I just put my reel on it from my other rod. Nothing to the set up really. I leave my line threaded through and loosen off the drag as I extend the rod. Too easy! When fishing the feel of it is no different to my standard rod, and it easily brought in the 60cm salmon at Tunks. We are going to make a short video on the rods so keep an eye out for that :) Definitely try out Deep Creek - check out our videos of Blow Hole Beach and Boat Harbour Beach. @@fishingsister thanks heaps. Been down to blow hole beach a few times. Recent trip a few weeks ago and caught heaps of salmon. Will let you know how I go.
@@jenniferparkinson9411 Was not oily and had a nice texture. Delicate flavour too. Was a big effort that day. We love a hike but that one was a killer! Glad we did it though because the ocean and bush was amazing. Have you watched our Boat Harbour Beach video? Very similar - just amazing to fish in those surroundings.
