No much swell reaches this part of the coast unless it's a south easterly and in winter storms you will get swell, other then that slippery rocks summer time it's brilliant as with all rock fishing comes dangers. Excellent video fishing sister 😃

Went here again couple days ago. Awesome weather, water was so flat clear and calm. Caught a massive salmon and caught 20 mullet all big ones. Big school rocked up. A fish a cast pretty much. Great spot

I loved Blowhole Beach. I haven't been there in rough weather yet - have you had a bad experience there?

The drive to Boat Harbor beach is an easier drive than Blowhole Beach. However, the walk at Boat Harbor is a lot harder (steep). I hope that helps.

Hi we are looking to holiday in the area and would like to give fishing a go. Is there a 'budget reel and rod combo' you could suggest for this location? I know there would be many perhaps your top 2? Thanks in advance

Are you in Adelaide? We would recommend going to Gotcha Fishing and Tackle (which is East of the city) or Fleurieu Camping and Outdoors if you are down south, and they will select something for you. We really like the shimano telescopic rod. They come in a few sizes. It is not worth going too cheap because they don't last. That said we don't spend a lot on our gear. My rod and reel cost around $200 all up. Have you ever fished before?

@@fishingsister yes east of Adelaide so looking at a Shimano or ugly stick combo for off the rock/ocean spec. Yes have fished before just a long time ago. Thanks for the tips
