I recommend level matching the output of the plugin to the uncompressed version to properly gauge the differences, as louder is often perceived as better.
i know Im asking the wrong place but does anyone know of a method to get back into an Instagram account..? I somehow forgot my login password. I appreciate any tricks you can offer me
@Jared Bronson Thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
He is actually using the plugin as an EQ. The compressor did not stand out at all since he did not level-match any of the frequency bands. The difference we can hear in the video is -my guess- 95% due to EQing and not being level matched.
how do i get to technique number 2?... also. excellent video. not what i came here for, but it answered a lot of questions that i have had in the past and it confirmed the hours of studying that i have done to be true. i do have a question though. when recording rhythm and lead guitars, do i pan them both to hard opposite sides? and how many takes do i need of each side as of layering? thank you sir!
"It's pretty obvious that it's....." Louder. Better, maybe. I'll take your word for it. Awesome vid, though. Will find others that you've put together.
13:18 Dude, you can't match without an equal gain - your guitar sound way louder after the multipressor. look at the level indicator of the track if it isn't obvious!
Dreadful. Honestly you need to rethink why you are doing what you are doing. If it's just about the money then couldn't you have chosen something other than music. Sorry. Had to be said.
