I’m 35 and now as a fully disabled combat veteran I’ve decided to make it my mission in love to learn my favorite song by my favorite band Blackbird by Alter Bridge, I’ve had a guitar for almost 20 years I’ve never played so why not start now? Bought Rocksmith for my PS4 pro, hopefully I can give it a go! Awesome job brother
I've been watching your videos for about a year now and I think you are the best I've seen on Rocksmith period!!! It is insane how well you played this; not one missed note; on sound attack no less!!! I can now say I have no excuses for any mistakes I might blame on the game. Wow!!!
"Legendary Performance" doesn't seem enough praise. RS Devs need to add a new congratulatory ending phrase just for Halsb...something like: "You're a God!" I can't help but think you're the best RS player in the world. Wonder if you have the time or desire to create your own original music in between perfect RS performances? Would definitely be cool to see a vid of you jamming in Session Mode or just jamming with an amp over a backing track.
Blackbird, pffffffff. Blitzkrieg Bop is the real friggin deal. Amazing job dude! Edit:Why does your ingame guitar headstock have a texture, an actual texture on it saying les paul and stuff and mine is like empty and transparent??
Its a little late, but if ya still care his headstock has that because it's set to invert string layout. This for some reason applies the textures to the headstock. Go figure.
+Cody Nakagawa By the looks of it, it just flips the whole guitar neck over, cause if you look you can see the headstock as if looking on from the front and not behind like normal.
6:06 : mind-blown but also I’m impressed at how well you manage to get every single note detected. For instance, the 0355xx chord sometimes get detected sometimes I get misses and I don’t know why, some of those bends prior to that insane part I mentionned also drop randomly, especially those tremolo bends. If understand what you’re doing you’re waiting the maximum to get the unbent note detected, then slightly overbend and add a lot of vibrato so you hit the sweet spot where the note gets detected am I right ? Easy to say, not so easy to do, hats off man ! Congrats on nailing on of my favourite songs in the game :)
+xGshikamaru I do have the same problem with detecting the chord you mentioned, it frustrates me. I thought I was lonely with this issue when I saw the video. only these chords, I tried manipulating the way I play them, like hitting the low E very softly while hitting the other hard, it does work sometimes. My score on this song is 93% and I played it maybe 75+ times. I was waiting for +halsb to post a video about it. I dind' tthink it's going to be a perfect go at it!! nice job
+Yathoom2 Putting more emphasize on the low E is what helped me get the chords more consistently. Also, don't over strum to much. Try to just strum the 4 strings.
I still have latency issues with this game. I miss a lot of notes due to the lag of the audio coming in after the notes appear as if the notes kove faster than the audio. Great job though! Solid performance
+Derrick Henry Honestly his answer will not be of much use to you, because there are a lot of variables. If your hands sweat easily, you will have to change them sooner. If you wipe your strings with a dry cloth after playing you can replace them later. If you use coated strings you can replace them later. If the room where you store your guitar is humid you should change them sooner. If you play every day you'll have to change them sooner. And so on. I find my coated strings last about a six weeks if I play 30-60 minutes a day, regular strings roughly half of that. If your detection is still poor after changing the strings, try pressing on the strings less hard (you should be touching them very lightly). If that still doesn't fix the problem, have a guitar shop fix the intonation for you. That'll cost about ~$30-40 at most places.
+Derrick Henry I change my strings at least once every two months. When I was working on Cliffs of Dover and playing a lot, I changed them every month. And detection does seem better with brand new strings, but it's not a big difference.
Idk why, but although a good song, the solos irk me in this. They seem so out pf place in a dark slow song, then wham. Hyperspeed solo. I feel in my opinion the song would be better if the theme continued through the solos too
@@elitebelt Exactly. The song has a really nice (and long) buildup between the second chorus and the solo. And the solo starts off subdued and grows as it goes. If it started off with Tremonti’s solo, it would definitely sound out of place. If you read the lyrics as being about growing, the solo does just that.
