The only thing Rockstar carefully playtests is ensuring the player doesn't make too much money too fast.

It seems like they have a lot of separate teams working on content, and very little oversight and coordination between the teams.

I'm hoping they do better in GTA VI Online. Even more in the mission design. Most of GTAO missions go like: -Drive to Hong Kong -Kill a bunch of sponge bullet NPCS -Retrieve a bag of garbage -Return

When you do cayo and if a body is found, instead of all of them moving around the map looking for you, they know where you're hiding at. What kind of guards did El Rubio hired?

the answer to this title is simple the game is so broken that even after 3 re-releases they still have 0 clue on what they're doing and will never learn from their mistakes because everyone happily throws their wallets at them regardless

I actually like how there’s multiple animations to open a shipping container rather than having R* recycle the same animation for everything. As for why one lock is shootable, that one seems pretty dumb, should’ve had to cut that one too.

I hate missions in GTA Online! they are long, hard, boring, enemies have perfect aim, you have to do everything in order, no creativity allowed and the pay is low! The pay should be way higher for these stupid missions!

phone calls? hang up, or have nil abilities with a person talking to you: cant jump, cant open menus, cant shoot..etc. jebus..and when it rings like in free mode and you're engaged vs lord knows what.. boom..kills your melee/wpn firing..can be at a critical moment!

Shame they didn't do the open ended style like 3 where it's kill Salvatore however you want before he reaches the safety of his house.

GTA Online, and even GTA5 story mode to some extent, feels less like an actual game at times and more like a tedious checklist of steps in an arbitrary order. It's kind of embarrassing just how much for freedom GTA3 had in 2001, both in regard to free roam possibilities and mission structure.

And top 1 broken "feature" in GTA after SA Mercenaries update: Assistant calls you about special rare item but you don't have it in terrobyte nor office/arcade.

In the McTony robbery there's invisible walls in the part where you destroy the sub's systems that you can't shoot through, nor can the enemies see through.

could add this one; snacks from auto shop is easy, getting snacks from chop shop though its way harder, you have to be perfectly centered on the bowl or something

There is another annoying thing: in one Auto Shop Union Depository setup you have to steal a police chopper. Not ANY police chopper but the one that ALWAYS spawns in LSIA.

One thing that bugs me about the bolt cutters... it's part of the salvage yard missions, right? Why the hell wouldn't you already have a pair of bolt cutters there?

Rockstar treats you like a child when it comes to completing missions, by ordering you to complete things in a very specific manner.

I had this same problem with the longfin, It got stuck and it took me many attempts to get it back on the small river. I got it back in time, but the process was annoying as F***!

1:15 I think theres a bit of logic here, what you need to do is ATTACH the flare not throw it, yes pilot going to see it anyway, but i dont think he can understand what container needs to be picked (flare that laying down theoretically points at container bellow, while flare that attached pointing exaclty to correct one)

Top Quality Mission Design, now I am really starting to believe there's only 1 dev making new content for GTA Online, the rest are all focused on GTA 6

Speaking of weird personal vehicle delivery locations: when you are in front of the garage of the Elysian Island nightclub and request a personal vehicle, it will spawn in front of the Merryweather HQ, meaning you have to swim there or like I do, spawn the Sparrow and fly above the water

The Farmhouse Bunker vehicle delivery bug is actually a sorta recent thing. Don't know the exact update, but within the last couple years that bug was introduced. Vehicles used to spawn on the dirt road. Its not exclusive to this location either, as a few other areas that I can't exactly remember have the same issue pop up with the bunker bug.

You can ride and fly futuristic bikes and cars, and use alien guns and lasers.

The bit with the acid lad is more you than rockstar because I get mine in the first throw

8:26 Same with the junkyard bunker. There's a dirt road right by it but my cars spawn all the way across on the highway

Another fun part is the inconsistency in the controls. For Bunker, you press "X" do deliver a shipment, for MC Businesses you press right arrow, and for the boat missions you press "E". Same thing for the Heists, in Cayo Perico, you press LMB to swipe the keycards, in the Casino Heist, you have to press Enter. Any 1st semester junior game dev would be able to recognize and fix these issues.

And, then someone calls me an idiot, because I hate GTA O for these type of bugs, and the other things.

I don't know how many noticed it but at 2:44 the animation when you open the container is exactly the same from the Prison Break mission where a team needs to get the Lampadati Casco from a container ship

Nice video! At my nightclub at the harbour the car delivery always places my car at the other dock, so I have to swim 3 minutes to get my car!

The...yeah..only the mini sticky bomb, bc reasons. & my run on the cargo ship i was like, ok? a flare. took me a couple mins to fig out wth R* wanted, there with the prompt. can't we just drop a flare on the top of the container? & picky pic taking spots in missions.. the 1st time a player encounters that can be a major😒moment. a mild nusiance after.

There should be a quality of life feature where on the missions where you have to steal stuff for another mission (ie. bolt cutters for opening containers) you can just keep them afterwards. But that’ll never happen because Rockstar just wants to keep wasting your time so you buy shark cards.

Most anoying moment is when you drive, and enemy spawn, you need to shoot, but that fking phone is ringing and you cant shoot

I play everyday nothing is "broken " so you have to do things in a certain order.....nothing unusual about that

I once did missions in salvage yard, I had to hack into news, but I actually saw the helicopter, so I stole it, Jamal called me that I stole it and that I need to land it on one location, however when I did so, the game still told me to go hack the news, but it didnt let me... so I had to change session 😂

The mission Strong Arm Tactics is STILL bugged after all these years.

Another weird logic is how you can't enter vehicles or do something that require you to press right on the dpad if the prompt in the upper right corner isn't there. So if you want to enter the kosatka for example, but the prompt is a hint or something, you have to wait for it to go away before you can enter. And another one: how you can't get a car to spawn unless you're right at the correct road that rockstar has allowed vehicles to spawn.

Another very annoying thing that happens is that in some missions the enemies can detect you only if you point the gun at them, yes you don't even need to fire any shots, simply the "spider sense" beeps and they can feel you

Oh, the robberies prep work is so limited, I hate that you MUST do their fucking order. For example, in getting the helicopter, you can go straight to the hospital/mall where the helicopter is and take it to the drop point, but nooooooooooooooooo if you do that, you softlock the mission if you didn't go to the WEASEL News camera first. Annoying.

R* proved me that multiplayer (in any game) is meant to be having fun and not to do hard choirs with strangers or friends. also, R* games modern MP (V & RD) are good for about 50 to 100 MAX levels then you better step down and forget about it

On PC you can end the phone call early if you click right mouse button.

I still love this game. They called Satchel Charges "sticky bombs" The fact that you can't shoot during phone calls is some Developer Undersight. There are calls from Dax that go on "Speaker" just like with Franklin and Lamar in Single Player, so it should be an optional button-press thing because the ability to do "put em on speaker" has been in the game since launch. This is probably the most frustrating when Ms Baker calls you in the middle of a shootout while protecting VIPs from swarms of enemies all just to say NOTHING AT ALL! NPC's not taking cover... In Gerald's Last Play - Making Ends Meat, This is super obvious. There are no suitable cover spots in the first 3 hallways, and then there is incomplete terrain around the Safe Area that confuses the AI because they can "see you" but can't pass through the broken terrain physics, so they pile up, and it makes any NPC group using that warehouse map super easy to deal with. Lastly, some renditions of Cayo Perico Intel Gathering placement seeds render it impossible for everyone to 100% Cayo Perico Intel Gathering prerequisites. You still uncover enough to max out a Heist, but you cannot fully find everything if you're one with a bad Seed.

The Arcadius tower roof top operates differently on console, when you exit to the roof you come out to the right of the door so you can run straight to the stairs! Also if you hit back when you accidentally walk into the marker it bumps you straight back up there, again not sure if your back button operates the same way on pc?

you dont have to kill the guards near the train, i usually go up the hill and take a picture and once she starts talking you can send the other picture of the brakes.

I don't know if this a glitch or something. But whenever I do Cayo. I Leave the compound. I'm way out of El Rubio's cone. But It's like he knows my location. Even if I'm extremely far away from him

You shoudn't have to do this in the first place, but you can go past the marker at 9:12 if you have your interaction menu open and jump past it (if you want extra speed).

😂 they take away 180 cars but they have the time to refine the sticky bomb to a much smaller model that you got to use on the cabinets. yeah Rockstar seem to be throwing enemies at us from just right out of our butt and not even trying to hide the spawning of them anymore. It's funny that other missions just require us to shoot a flare in the air or drop one to the ground but yet the new scrap yard mission we got to attach the flare to the container to single the pilot of the random helicopter to come and get the container. I guess Rockstar logic doesn't make sense when opening containers between the different DLCs that have the same lock but in a different color ,but then I notice suddenly in the cutscene when opening the container and you can barely catch it and see it, but the lock on the door is a red lock that looks like it's been cut with a cutting wheel if you slow down the video. side note I just realized that two DLCs have the same name just one longer than the other unless I'm mistaken. Since when do bolt cutters cut through three strands of chain in one cut and suddenly the chain becomes one chain. 😂 okay I'll look at the license plate to find the white car with big blue security letters on the side of it that stick out in the parking lot of the casino, along with the random spawn out of my butt security guards that start shooting at me over a taser that I can buy at the local gun shop or already have on me that I can use in the mission. I hate when the NPC calls me and I'm in the middle of taking out enemies or being chased by enemies and I'm like not a good time and have to hang up immediately just from not dying. I'm glad there is a weapon that could move that boat back into the water and that is the upanatomizer gun or as I call it the beam gun to move the boat back in the water because I've beached that boat over by the falls between Mount Chiliad once while doing the same mission. yeah Rockstar restructured the spawn locations for personal vehicles a while back for some reason🙄, I have the same thing down by nightclub that is down by merriweather bass the vehicle spawns all the way over by their base instead of where it used to spawn which is the freeway exit just a quick run from where the nightclub garage entrances is.

But it's fun..being a multi millionaire errand runner..chasing after things and doing deliveries & pickups we could hire done for petty cash. and i guess..if realistic..we'd just be sitting behind a desk and occasionally 'sipping rootbeer and playing Fortnite with the boys'!

i hope for 6 they bring back old mission freedom in single player and online and specifically for online i hope they get rid of the annoying ass enemy spawn system especially when they spawn helicopters that can literally follow you if you are underground in the tunnels

GTA sometimes feels like a very linear game with the best open world. Bad level design as well in difficulty and explanation. But still very fun to play!

If you think spawning your car at that farm is bad, you should see the docks nightclub. Big ass area to easily spawn a car? Nahhh, we'll deliver it to Merryweather docks instead, that's way better! Not like you need a car to go the literal mile just to get your car.

I don't know if you already mentioned this in another video, but enemy NPCs are really stupid and very OP, if they have an automatic weapon, one single shot they take, over 50 bullets come out of the damn thing!, THAT IS HORRIBLE

I'd say they did a perfect job, they met the tedious ahh gameplay requirements set by TakeTwo Interactive. To prevent speedruns and thus to guarantee Shark Card sales, it's not even about updating GTA Online, it's more about keeping it alive, the game is on life support at this point and in some way or another quite always was. We as enthusiasts can percieve all of this through prior experience but most casuals will just think: "oh cool a new update" and the cycle can go on as long as they want it to. And to be fair I don't blame Rockstar for doing it if it works, but its true they have no interest whatsoever in bringing quality content to Online. Cheers to that since VI will show up someday (I play on PC it's over for us)

I bought the next gen version gta a while back, and i feel like its more broken than the ps3 and ps4 versions, as of how i remember. I srem to run into more random moments on new gen

If you ask me, GTA Online provides a great oppurtunity for Rockstar to test out new gameplay mechanics and features which they could then refine and include them in future titles such as GTA 6.
