Well, "ruined" in a certain way... But the attitude era (with lots of storylines) was the most mainstream/profitable time for wwf ever. So it kinda has two sides to it. Old school tough guy wrestling took a hard hit from kayfabe not being a thing anymore and was replaced by soap like stories.

While I do agree with you, your general bitterness on your own lack of achieved stardome in wrestling kind of takes some weight of a lot of your arguments. Not to put you down: you can be proud of what you have achieved, but it is crystal clear that you harbour a lot of ill feelings towards (especially) the WWE for never bringing you in. If you had "made it" with them, you wouldn't feel the need to constantly shit on them and the people who actually had or are having a good tenure in WWE, like Kevin Owens for example.

I met Roddy right before he passed. We talked quite a bit. He was my favorite heel, and my favorite wrestler. It seemed to me that it was exciting for him to meet some regular dude that grew up watching him. Maybe he could tell that I was a legit fan, maybe he just liked to talk to the guy willing to take the time to be first in line. I ended up having to talk him into letting me move along so that he could talk to other fans. Anyway, he was a great guy from what I could tell, very gracious of the fans that helped him get where he was. He seemed so genuine. I'm so sorry for his families loss. RIP

I get it that Vince wanted to protect Hulk and ensure that he was the biggest star in the company but I don't think there was reason for them to feel threatened by Piper, Perhaps there is more to the story.
