Thanks Doc.. I'm an exercise scientist and I've been telling this to people from eons but especially us mallus have a specific inhibition from workout. In fact my tutor is a cardiac surgeon and he now inculcates His Post-surgery patients on rehab with strength training rather than cardio in light of new research evidence
I started doing squats 7 days back and i saw that i not only toned my legs but also helped me controlled my sugars even 3 hours post exercise period..my blucon which i use with freestyle sensor helps me assess effect of exercise on sugars real time
I have diabetes ,it hopefully is 5.My question is I do 3 hours of gym exercise.30 minutes cross trainer ,13minutes into 3 times that is 39 minutes treadmill,30 minutes cycling ding it into ten minutes,30 minutes stepper, then do some yoga, free hand exercises and take weights ,5kg in each hand and also work on my back and legs by raising 20 kg weight.Since I have diabetes, even if it is under control can I take exercise the way I mentioned?Thank You!
