Following on from my video in which I restored 'Billy The Scaffolder's' Vintage Rolex Datejust this time I restore the bracelet to go with the watch. I have restored this Rolex and its bracelet for an Irishman called Cathal who purchased the watch from Billy and has gifted it to his father in Ireland.
************************* SEA WOLF ***************************

*******************************************************************
Special tools are required for doing this work and despite it being the first Rolex bracelet I have restored Cathal seemed to be pretty pleased with the result.
I limit the narration in this video to give room for some nice calming ASMR.

Richard, The watch is a fantastic transformation!!! You caught me off guard during our phone conversation so I must reiterate that I am extremely grateful of the time and effort you have given to restore this watch. My father is delighted with his gift and I’m sure he will wear it proudly for many years to come. All the best Cathal

Everyone take a moment to consider how many times the old owner's wrist moved to create that amount of wear on the pins, the countless hours of work done with it on, yet with a clean an relube, the watch performance was excellent. It is a testament to how well built a Rolex movement is. Fantastic.

My father wore his for 35 years, I inherited it when he passed 20 years ago. The jubilee bracelet is stretched as bad as this one, easily. I miss the sound it made when he would wiggle his wrist around to wind it.

Richard, I can see why you said you don’t usually do bracelets! That probably took longer than taking the main body and inner workings of a watch apart and putting it back together again…lol! Brilliant Job. Enjoyed watching and the meticulous care you took. Cheers from Nova Scotia..MikeR. ( ps. I own an older DateJust with this exact bracelet and have a greater appreciation of how well crafted it is. )

Hi @yebo56... I figure the bracelet was about 10 hours but to film this was more like 20 hours. The edit was 5 hours upload to RU-vid and Thumbnail creation and description another 3 or 4 hours. So about 28 to 30 hours all up. Hope this is helpful. Richard
