Hey Diane, I went both nights or should I say I went to both shows on 7/19/72. lol! 1st row center for the 1st show and about 10 rows back during this baby. Hotter than hell the 1st night but the band was hotter! I paid $5 the 2nd night for a 3/4 stub and passed it to a turnstyle on the take! I was the last illegal entry as the cops jumped on the turnstyle ticket-taker docent as I slipped through believing myself to be a slick as snot 16 year old, lol! Whoo-Eee! Thanks for the spectacular memories! If you're ever in SF, look me up on Facebook or what not, would love to meet you! Be good! Jim

@Jim DeRoche you knew how to roll! First row center, how did you ever! And your second show entry, I never knew that was a thing, why didn't I ever try it ha ha! The morning of the 19th, I woke up to the news of the arrests and thanked my lucky stars that I wasn't there for the first night's show. But you turned it into a positive, so I salute you.

I saw them at the Winterland - open floor 4/5 ppl behind in front of Mick Taylor in utter disbelief how he immediately dominated the show ....

Hi Diane being a big fan of Dr. J I was wondering do you have any part of the floor from The Garden when the 76ers closed out the Celtics in 7 in 1982? 😉 🤸🤸🤸

Thanks for the show. As has Ben mentioned, Mick Taylor had some good solos, especially on Street Fighting Man.

I hitch hiked from Cincinnati to Boston and hooked up with my buddy in Boston. Our seats were behind the stage. That sucked so we went down to floor and walked up the and stood in with some people close to stage. We were watching the show when some one set of a cheery bomb on the floor in the middle of Love In Vain. Sacred the hell of us. I don't know if it is on this tape because of tape flip. Thank for the music.

My God!! DIANE!! WOW! Thank you so much!! So many exhilarating moments here!! haha Greetings from Canada! What a concert!! I can't believe you went to this!! (I went to Foxboro in 2019!). We randomly met and had drinks with Gary Clark Jr. at this shit hole bar near the Common the previous night!

I love your enthusiasm! The Stones were really at their peak during the late sixties / early seventies! Fifty years later they are still rocking our souls to the core. Your Foxboro show had the best opening act in Gary Clark Jr. How lucky you were to have an up close and personal encounter with him! He is a genius. There are recordings on my RU-vid channel page of the Stones 1969, 2006, and 2019 in New Jersey, hope you check them out :)

Dear Diane, Thanks so much for posting. Do you remember your seat in the Garden ? How did you get the taperecorder inside? Do you still have your ticketstub ?
@dianestrauss9699
@dianestrauss9699 4 года назад
Erwin, I have my ticket stub for the 1969 concert but not the 1972 show. We were seated in the first section above the floor, about midway in the venue. i don't remember any issues at all when I walked in with a recorder!
