@@taleeahayward1406 I started filming around 7 am. The day doesn't break early in winter. If you hope to walk around in summer, you should start around 5 am to avoid the crowd.
I am Italian from the city of Turin, in 2017 I was lucky enough to visit Rome together with a true 80-year-old Roman young man who drives a car in Rome and is still very active. he was born in Rome in 1935, he lived all his life in Rome. he knows everything about Rome. thanks to this 80 years old gentleman i saw ancient things that many tourists can't see,. the thing that struck me is that this gentleman took pictures of rome in 1950 .1960.1970.1980.1990.2000 .2010 . and still today 2020 this gentleman goes at 5:00 in the morning in the center of Rome to take the photos in Rome and all his art of him! he goes at 5:00 in the morning because so he can take pictures of the real authentic Rome
You were very lucky. My father was from Argentina and spent 3 months a year from 1930 to 1936 visiting relatives there. He had an old uncle who wanted to show the city to his nephews but the only one who followed him around was my teenage nerd father. (The rest lived there and took the city for granted.) My father took me to Rome when I was 19 and remembered his old uncle’s tours. I was lucky, too! I took my daughter when she was 20 but she just wanted to have fun with her distant cousins. Oh well!
Brought back memories of 60s and 70s trips with family. My dad lived traveling and loved Rome. Forced us kids to speak Italian when at home. My dad was German. We spoke Italian with a German accent. Lol.
thans i really miss my Rome, been there 2x in 40yrs. life just goes by without you do nothing too busy so sad i wish i can be there again, but my body wouldnt be able to walk like i did the last times was there, so beautiful never tired of it, so many things to admire , love you ROMA MIA QUANTO SEI BELLA !!!!! GRAZIE
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! I was in Rome in November and walked around so lost, despite having watched a ton of walking videos. I had a general idea of where everything is, but there are so many side streets! I will be back there in 5 weeks and this video ... with the street names and details you included, will be so helpful! I'm also lucky, because you happened to start right by my hotel, in front of Pantheon! I can't wait to follow your exact path and not get lost again! 😊
Astonishing and informative. The only city in the world that looks alive and gives off vibes even without crowds. Thank you for rising early to present this.
My Fiancé and I are visiting Rome in early December. Never been before, I can’t wait so excited esp to see the Vatican City and all Rome has to Offer at Christmas Time.
It was so nice to watch the early morning walk! I know what it is like to be in middle of a crowd and not being able to move especially in Rome and Venice.
Back in the 1980’s we lived in Rome for six months out of the 7 1/2 years we lived in Italy. I must commend you on the best walking tour I’ve seen. What a tremendous job of navigating the streets. Thanks for refreshing my memories!
Thank you, I like Rome very much. I've visited it 20 times and never get tired of this beautiful city. Not only the tourist sights are awesome but also parts which are not overrun by tourists.
When I was6 yeas old I,my mum and 2 brothers when to Rome visiting my Italian grandparents (mums parents) so this has shown me parts of the city we would not seen.
Canadian here. We toured Rome years ago and walked all around. For your viewers, I wish you went inside the Pantheon and other famous buildings to show the fantastic architecture that Rome is so famous for. The interiors are a sight to behold! See my next comment.
There are numerous videos where I toured inside the Pantheon. This was an early morning informative walk tour and no monument is opened that early. Anyway, thanks for watching ❤️
I have a short break in Rome in the next two weeks. What a beautiful city.❤️ Wonderful informative waking tour. Just what I needed. Molte Grazie.👍 Hmmm. I think I will only throw two coins in the fountain. 🤞
Thank you. Brings back great memory of our honeymoon to Rome in 2001. We stayed at a great hotel called the Valadier near the Piazza Del Popolo. I love how you can easily walk to all the sites. Beautiful city with history all around. Our favorite trip to this day. Great and informative.
Stayed at a hotel beside the Temple of Hadrian (a few times) . Great location, sometimes concerts in the Piazza at night. They use to also have a laser light show against the temple at dusk.
Thank you for the beautiful video of Rome, I wish one day God will allow me to go back and see this wonderful place. I lived in Italy for straight ten yrs but I did not have the chance to see Rome, it was my heart’s desire. One day God’s will. Again, thanks so much. God bless.
This is awesome! I love watching your walks around Rome. I will be there this coming September and these videos have been so helpful. I cannot wait! Thank you very much!
Thank you for sharing this amazing walking tour! What a great job you did! The Nativity Scene is awesome! Now I want to go back to Rome & follow your route. In 2019, my childhood friend & I traveled independently to Italy for 5 weeks & spent 10 days in Rome but that was not enough!
Thank you for leaving the captions on longer. I love your walking tours and descriptions. I know that I will never visit Italy but your videos make my heart happy. ❤
This is a good vlog! Appreciate the early walk minus the human traffic. Makes a huge difference! Crowds notwithstanding, Rome should not be missed when visiting Italy. Very beautiful place and the food is just scrumptious!
Precious at any time but so much more beautiful in its solemnity.Cannot wait to return in Spring Blessings and thank you for your informative and well guided videos .🇦🇺🙏❤️🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
Thank You! Refreshed & revisited my 1992 Rome experience, similarly, from piazza Navona walking in the same places as your video, it’s more informative!

I love Rome and the only way to see it is on foot, the culture the history is truly amazing, a beautiful city, I look forward to taking my wife. Italy, Rome is an amazing must see place, I had tears in my eyes when I saw trevi fountain and the bridge of angels. St Peter’s Basilica is outstanding and the Vatican Museum. Love it. ❤😢
Amazing walk and i could still remember vividly the routes being shown in the videos as i visit Roma quite often staying there for a month. This winter i cannot return due to work commitments and will return the next winter. Thanks for the comprehensive video taken in the morning.
I am anxiously awaiting my trip back to Italy in November. I will revisit all these places. So beautiful and so much history. Thank you so much for sharing. I so enjoy your walks.😊

Thanks for watching! I forgot to add that when river Tiber flooded in 1598, the water brought a small boat into the Piazza di Spagna. It was this event that inspired Pietro Bernini with the help of his son, to build the fountain at the Spanish Steps
Hi great video, can I ask what time of the morning you started this and how long you took you to walk to all the sites ? Was it only 36 minutes? We I’ll be there in June
I started filming around 7 am. And yeah, it takes 37 minutes to walk around the monuments. If you plan to walk in June, you should start by 5 or 6 am to avoid the crowd. Day breaks early in summer.

There is a beautiful Trevi fountain in LasVegas too. The church near the real Trevi fountain is fitting, but the commercial building are NOT. They crowd the square hideously so. The swimming pool base is way to artificial looking. I would’ve used blue and blues and greens slag glass mosaic with a complimentary grout. ..not white…..
Late again, as is usual. Sorry! Not one, but TWO McDonald’s on the way to the Trevi Fountain. I won’t cry, but I wonder: Are the McDonald’s in Rome frequented by tourists from North America? Have the Romans developed a taste for McDonald’s? 2nd question, if I may? If I toss a coin in the correct way into the Trevi Fountain and it hits one of the Gods before it falls into the water? Will I be banned for life? I don’t think a coin can damage the marble and I would not aim for anything except the water, but the aim that I manage behind me would very likely land far from my intent. If I put myself in harm’s way, I might be better off keeping my hands in my pocket. So sorry. Strange questions pop into my head but they are sincere and I would not mind knowing, especially about who frequents McDonald’s and keeps them busy enough for several locations. Fantastic video! Heading that way in a few months time and have never been before. I am more familiar with the streets and locations of some things than I have been from watching and reading so many things about Rome over the years! I don’t know how to adequately express how sincere I am. Thank you!!!
Il MC Donald in Italia sono diversi. Si mangiano cose più italiane. Altrimenti noi non ci andiamo. In Italia la qualità è superiore rispetto a quelli del resto del mondo
