This type of jump rope is good for complete beginners and there are some benefits to those who already skip rope. Little to no noise, low impact, and seems useful in smaller enclosed spaces where normal jump ropes would not work well, such as indoors with low ceilings areas. It feels like this can develop timing & coordination with the actual rope. I am not used to this type of equipment when skipping rope and I notice it actually throws off my rhythm. I also may need to focus on matching my wrist motions with my jumps so that they are in synchrony and occurring simultaneously.
Its important to change up the routines and I feel like using this from time to time may help, but this still cannot replace the rope (for now).
