Good man isn’t very accurate. Rorschach is a racist, homophobic, bigot. He’s a hero, he’s done good things, but he’s not a good man. He kills pedophiles and murderers, sure, but when he talks about people, how he acts around other people, you can see the grimy underside shine through. Rorschach is a fucked up guy processing his trauma through hate and disgust, for everyone and everything. His drive to do good isn’t to protect the innocent, or so that the world is a safer place for little girls. He does it because somebody has to pay.
Imo Batmans more palpable, his character had far more willpower than him since he had more people close to him that would die and even then he wouldnt turn evil and stand his ground, and his willpower led him to save trillions of lives, while being only human like rors his feats are just impressive that go beyond anything Rorschach stood for (but rors is still goated)
@@MahfujurRahman847 which is what makes it worse when you have enemies to think about that smart enough to kill them in any moment as soon as they find out who you are
@@toji7yeah I know the quadrillion billionaire with like several dozen boy wonders who are explicitly his sidekicks with his multi-million dollar Batcave in his mansion with the absolute most successful on the surface life and who only chose this purely because he had a bad experience and is an insane psycho who decided that becoming a vigilante was the best way to deal with the trauma from the set experience when he's a fucking millionaire who could have gone to therapy versus a dude who has literally almost no power and is basically just a normal ass Human thrown into this world of chaotic near gods and still refuses to compromise even in the face of a literal God staring him down I'm telling him that he will kill him should he decide to continue with his desire to tell the world the truth with him refusing to back down because he himself could never compromise and let Humanity down like that
@@Mortineus I think it's Dr. Manhattan. His time on mars chapter I think it was 4th chapter it was very well written how he's living past and future in the same time.
@@imbatman815I'll say that his theme was executed very greatly through the changing view of future and past however I didn't find him much more deeper than ozymandish. Ozymandish as a kid was fascinated greatly through Alexander and thought of him as his idol. He delusionally compares himself to Alexander and realise that Alexander failed to unite the whole world. He retraced all the steps taken by Alexander and symbolised the Alexander's conquest of Asia and Africa by the sculptures he has of mediterranean and egyptian culture. Earning to become just like Alexander, Ozymandish build the influence which he had all by himself instead of living a luxury life thanks to fortune left by his immense rich parents just like Ozymandish. Alexander was a great leader and fighter and in general a very intellectual person. Adrain, Being a son of parents with unremarkable genetics overcome the crisis of intelligence just by the motivation of becoming just like Alexander. This added to his career as costume adventure adds even more than this. He thought of himself as the bringer of unity and thus regarded himself as the conqueror just like Alexander. The sheer amount of intensity of desire that Ozymandish had was insane. His thought process was twisted and yet in his own way correct because he deem that what he was doing is making the world a better place even though what he had done was just because of him becoming like Alexander and not because of a sense of "mortality". The amount of parellel he had in issue 11 and 12 is just insane. Also, I might have mess some things up so make sure to point out them
The number of people who say they "hate" Rorschach completely prove why the character exists: he's supposed to be an extreme figure of justice, a parody of the "masked detective" like The Question, much like how Comedian parodies Peacemaker. He is deliberately designed to be provoking and "offensive", his entire character is built around never backing down or compromising even if it is seemingly for the greater good.
Toji has a very unique aura like bro legit made us play sekiro, watch hajime no ippo, made us read usogui, read comics, and now watchman, and all of that with edits.Bro is 🐐
Can't he just go back in time and kill ozymandias before he created this world. I mean if he's willing to kill rorschach to keep the world safe he should have the motive to ozymandias.
That would defeat the purpose of the peace they created. The nuclear war would still happen. Not that he could do that anyways. He could see only his own future and past he never said anything about time traveling or making miracles happen.
Any reason why idolizing someone who lives up to their principles, stops pedophiles, and overall wishes for a world eradicated of evil, is something one shouldn't do? Genuinely curious.
@@holyjolias3229 dude’s a very messed up guy. His stubbornness, short sightedness, and cruel methods are not something I think we as people should look up to. His portrayal in this film was phenomenal, and I do love this character; but, I know who he is and can see that he’s is riddled with issues.
@@thesunsson8836 His methods are not cruel to those worthy of it. His stubbornness is non existent and is only classified as such by those who do not agree with what NEEDS to get done. Short sightedness is also a grand mischaracterization since he's the only one capable of viewing what everyone else is blind to see. Transparency and uncompromising in the face of Armageddon is the true fashion of guaranteeing it doesn't happen again. You can feel disdain towards his pessimistic outlooks but understand at the end of the day your feelings mean nothing and actions are all that will remain. #RorschachW
