This in 12 GA 28” barrels, was my father’s favorite shotgun. I spent many days afield with him in a duck blind, in a dove field, in the woods hunting turkeys; and he often chose this one over his Browning Auto 5. Good memories. Miss you Daddy.

The first firearm I ever shot was my grandfather's Rossi .22LR. I was 5. He willed it to my brother and many years later we repaired the reload mechanism. Brother passed early this year, but that little Rossi is still in the family. The furniture is still beautiful, and the action is smooth as ever.

I bought mine in 1984, and namedit "Big Jake". $150. As soon as I turned 18. Turned out to be a great quail gun in the brush. Even a few doves out in the vineyards. Fantastic gun, but it kicks like a mule.

Those out-of-production Rossi coach guns are expensive on the used market. CZ still makes one, but also pricey.

The CZ shotguns are rebadged tuglo shotguns from turkey. At least my CZ hammered classic is, and yes they are pricey.

I am a shotgun rider for the San Jacinto line, The desert is my brother, my skin is cracked and dry. I was riding on a folk coach and everything was fine, 'Til we took a shorter road to save some time. The bandits only fired once, they shot me in the chest. They may have wounded me but they'll never get the best, Of better men: 'Cos I'll ride again. (Listen to American remains if you don't know the song lol)

The hammered coach guns are the funnest shotgun made. I’ve got the 1878 Cimarron copy of the colt double barrel shotgun it’s lots of fun. I’ve shot clay pigeons with it before

I have almost the exact same dbl barrel. Only its made by Norinco. Great little shotty , works perfect everytime , has Americam hardwood furniture. Weighs 8lbs. And it only ran me $385. Great H.D gun and behind the seat truck gun. Love your vids Hickok 👍

The birb shot hit much more surface area, at once, on the can. That is why it pushed the can, verses just poking a few holes in it.

Happy Anniversary. The sound of that locking up is a unique sound. I also like the sound of racking the slide on a pump shotgun. I went to an auction one time thinking I was going to buy a Greener coach gun. Bidding went above my limit before I could bid.

For the physics question, I would say that the buckshot pellets are small enough that with the right amount of power penetrates it. While birdshot has a bigger mass and doesn't penetrate because it need more energy/power behind it. Correct me if I'm wrong.

This is the first real gun my Father gave me, shot my first rabbit with it. Everytime I took it to the range the the old-timers would come up and want to buy it. Sorry Sir not for sale. Love my Rossi stagecoach! Awesome video.

I'm not a huge gun guy, but I love his videos. I maybe fire a gun a couple times a year. Interesting learning about anything and everything firearms. I own one long gun, a .22. I guess I barely meet the definition of a "gun owner" 😂

I bought a new one back in the early 70's directly from the importer, FA Bower for the sum of $65. It was well made especially for the price, but the barrels were not regulated. I sold it to a Customs import specialist for the same price.

The reason why think the buck shot didn’t not knock it over but the bird shot did is that the bird shot is smaller and more dispersed allowing more transfer of energy, plus it’s slower probably .

Friends always wanted to do both barrels at once but couldn't pull both triggers at exactly the same time and they'd get the hammer spurs in the webbing between the thumb and first finger

I noticed the spread on the birdshot on the bottom of the garbage can. Much bigger than double ought buck. Though still obviously NOT area effect. Gotta aim at that distance.
