@@RADPotential no problem brother, i have seen them used same with mismatched 13b ones on carbureted engines. So they will run I think for something with a lot of HP that requires fine tuning, then it would be an issue. I still don’t like to miss match them but that’s just me. I dig the videos brother! Kiddos on the channel.
Thank you sir!! For sure any high rpm NA or boosted application matching is important. Id never build one that didn't match unless it was the night before a race or something and thats all I could get
i dont mean to be offtopic but does any of you know of a method to get back into an instagram account? I was stupid lost the login password. I would appreciate any help you can give me.
Hi mate, would you have a copy or a link to the wiring schematic for a first gen 12A Turbo RX7 please? I've tried google and the usual websites but no luck, thanks.
Fine! But it was proven that Nikasil is better under any comparative criteria to hard chrome plating for Wankel housing Working surface. But it's not easy finding someone to replate with Nikasil a Wankel, even if several companies offer nikasil replating for two-stroke and 4-Stroke cylinders in Europe. With non-Mazda engines, the situation is close to impossible, perhaps in Germany someone makes replating of Sachs Wankel RCE housings with nikasil, for OMC, nobody knows.
@@RADPotential i just bought a set of carbons for my 12a cause they were cheaper than decent steel ones. Plus i wanna rev the piss outta my engine and not hurt it. Just was thinking if i wanna grab a set of s5 that has been milled and grooved to make new 12a housings or if i needed to
The larger exhaust port from the 13b housing will benefit you as a 12a exhaust port is tiny. Otherwise I dont know enough about your apex seal to comment on its longevity or its friction life along the housing surface
Yes for sure!!! I have a video about 13b swapping a FB rx7. That motor will probably double the power in your car! High compression S5 NA is the ticket
@@RADPotential I’ve had this car sitting for 7 years. After watching your channel for a few days it got me going I need my 7 back. Cleaning the carb out and running the 12 until I have everything for the 13b.
I do not have any experience with them being re chromed. I usually just try to find better used housings. If there was a cost effective way...id know about it
13b 4 port irons are basically the same as 12a irons with regard to port size and intake manifold options. If you're talking about ditching the 12a stuff. You can use the 13b irons and just build a 13b. Bit more power and torque. But you will need 13b housings, rotors. Eshaft. Exhaust intake. Etc.
I'm a master engine builder. Way older then this kid. The reality of working with an rx 8 is not to use it as your primary vehicle. If you have alot of mechanical skill the cheapest way to make a mazda drive able is to put an old school small block 350 or 383 in it, carberated. Treat the car like your building an old t bucket. Replace the Guage with regular old school Guage from a 59s to 80s car. Tear out the computer controller parts in the car and treat it like an old school hot rod with a newer body. Bloodviking
What's the minimum for the width? I have some plates that have been machined allitle and the coolant seal groves are looking pretty shallow now....is there a measurement for this? I no you can get seal groove ground out deeper for people that do it
