ROUND 2! Suspension and Handling upgrades to my I30N DCT FL

Car is sitting lovely on those Eibachs mate. You are right, the ride quality is not adversely affected at all and looking forward to having swap them onto my new one. The suspension setup sounds incredible, I can see how much more you are enjoying it, even in the crappy weather! I was not able to buy mine outright so i have always been cautious about the mods I put on. Hyundai finance literally said to me as long as the car can be reverted to stock then do what you like, however the Dealership is much more strict (warranty wise) and while I would love to remap sadly I might have to wait till after full purchase. Really looking forward to seeing it after the map, your old car was nuts :) Plus its good to see what can be achieved with the FL. Have fun!

FACELIFT? You or the car!

I've got the exact same car but manual and the only changes I've made are the stereo, a forge intake and tints. Beyond that the rest of the car is perfect. I wouldn't want it any lower because you already have to be careful going in to driveways etc..

Hey Dan. Love the video. I’m going to take the plunge and move from my 2018 Manual I30N to the DCT. Ask me back in 2017 when I initially ordered my manual I30N about gearboxes and automatic transmissions, and I would have scoffed at anything but a manual. But things change, and the wet clutch on this car looks sensational. On a side note, what kind of power are you hoping for from a remap? I understand the turbo is a twin scroll now and has some improvements. The basic power gains on the pre facelift car weren’t fantastic….

Love the video and love the facelift DCT model too! I have the pre facelift and I'm wondering if the new model is any better than the previous one in terms of traction and axle-tramp in stock form? Debating whether to mod my current car or trade in for the facelift

Hi Dan, been watching all you vids...Your prob a busy man, but I wanted ask a couple questions, if you could replyly, I'd be grateful. First off I know everyones insurance will be bit dif but roughly how much on top of you std premium, did they charge you for all the mods you got to date, and would you recommend you company you insure with if it's not to much to ask..my current insurer doesn't allow mods or track days so I'll have to change to dif firm if I end doing some of the mods you had done...I pay on the std i30N Manuel not DCT like yours. £980 a year with just 2 years no claims I'm 45 years old to give you rough idea...if you know a good firm that allows mods even if have to pay bit extra each mod. Be handy to know or it will take me ages searching for suitable ins firm otherwise. I'm thinking of getting the Forge brake bit 380 discs with 6 piston pots like ylonbyour video. And the some suspension work to kick off with as std brakes are bit poor considering power of just the std model....after that I'm defo gonna get prob Forge stage 1 or 2 remap Inc the relavent intercooler upgrade and other bits they recommend like induction kit and was done other bits but I assume gorge can work out a suitable system for my budget, I'm not gonna do as much as you have as even a reasonable power gain would be enough for me ....I've seen your driving yours a it looks very very quick at nearly 400 bhp!! I'd be happy with 350 or around there with lump more torque as well be great....sorry such long message...feel free if you reply to keep you answer brief .....I tend waffle cause my AdhD I apologise lol. 😊😂😂🤪😁😁

is it true the sub frame needs to be lowered in order to replace the front sway bar?

I think the tyres you’re using have a lot to do with the grip and all out traction.
