Q & A: Q: Do I have to do the workout when it drops “live”? A: NO! That’s simply when the workout goes live on RU-vid! You do the workouts whenever you want!
I learned to row with Austin’s in 2021 and 2022 when Row20 was a private/paid series. I can confidently say that there is no better coach out there. I rowed my first marathon in Sept for my 60th birthday and it would not have been possible with out the lessons I learned from Austin. @austin, great to see you back!
I've delayed my start having tested positive for Covid at the beginning of the week - started today (Australian time). I didn't push too hard with Covid symptoms still lingering, but was happy to pump out 3990m on the second hand Concept 2 (PM5) I bought to build strength and assist my recovery from shoulder surgery 5 months ago. I am very appreciative having your program (and enthusiasm) to finally get me onto my rower. I'm a 64yo Aussie cyclist. Keep up the great work!
Started this today. Was rowing with three of your other videos for some time now and am stoked that you’ve got this challenge happening on RU-vid as it it’s the next step I’ve been needing. Thanks legend 🤟
This workout series has been a game changer for me! I thought I knew what I was doing, though I was almost entirely self-taught through other videos. Nothing has helped more than this. I'm done with day 4 and looking forward to continuing.
Thank you so much for sharing this program for free. I've just finished the first lesson and I really enjoyed it. You're a great coach. I'm looking forward for rowing along on the next lessons. I couldn't reach 22 though but stayed consistent around 20 / 21. I hope I'll improve along the way.
Did my first Row-20 in May 2020 when it first dropped. Couldn’t be happier about signing up then and delighted to start it again with this series. Just finished day 1 and was really pleased with it. Now to see improvement on day 20!
4523m, 2:12.6 split, two months ago I could barley keep a pace below 2:30. Your interval training video with the pick drill at the start has made such an impact on my rowing. Looking forward to making more progress in this series. Thanks for motivating me to get fit, 35 lbs down and counting.
Well you’ve got me, just subscribed just done this workout with you absolutely loved it. New to rowing have a concept in the house it belongs from an 18-year-old lad who has just finished at eating college. He was captain of the boots now he’s gone to Stamford I rowing scholarship like you he’s about 6 foot six I told him I was going to start rowing and beat his 2000 m which was probably a silly thing to do as it was six minutes 16 seconds I’m always up for a challenge I’m 62. I’m going to be following along with you and see how things turn out look forward to the next one, I’m going to be rowing every morning at 6:30. Thank you very much for your time.🎉
Thank you Austin, just took up rowing and am so grateful to have found you! I have learned so many tips from watching many of your videos and am stoked to Journey with you. Here we go on day 1! ✨❤️✨
Looking forward to day two I’ve been doing Orangetheory for about nine months now. the rowing is the one aspect of my Orangetheory regime that I’ve been trying to perfect. I know I have the power. I know I have the stamina, but I need to work on my technique. That’s why I’m here. I look forward to the rest of the series! It really helps to watch your form as one is rowing, which is what I did. I just happen to have a concept 2 at home, which has been collecting a lot of dust.
Perfect timing for a challenge. With the holidays right around the corner, I needed to add cardio to my workouts and you keep me motivated to maintain my pace for 20+ minutes. 😊 Thank you Austin!
Day 1 Done. 1st week back to excising after pacemaker implant and recovery. No better way to get back into activities than rowing and Row 20!! Game on!!!
wow. was not expecting to start the program with such a lung buster. managed to get split average down to 2:05.5 but took some effort and mental gymnastics. thanks for great workout. 🎉
It’s only if you want to do the 20 days starting Oct 2nd-21st with everyone else! Outside of that, the program will be here forever for you to do at your own pace!
Hi Austin, I love your sense of humor, enthusiasm, and RU-vid rowing videos! And I’d love to get your advice. Earlier this year I decided to give rowing a try and happily happened onto your RU-vid videos! I’m interested in trying your Just Row app, but I’m sort of a day late and a dollar short as they say haha, as I’m 62 years young and only 5’2” tall (or more appropriately “short” haha). I’m still active and in pretty good shape and would love to stay that way for as long as possible! Sooo, I’m wondering if you think your app would be good for me, or is it geared more to younger taller folks? It says no matter how tall, but what about how short? And are there any drawbacks or downsides for a short or older person rowing? 🤔 Thanks for your help 😊
I'm new to rowing and just got a concept 2. I'm knackered after 5 mins. Just to add I'm 65, I box, do BJJ and powerlifting. I can jump rope for 30 mins but 5 minutes rowing and and my throat is so dry.
Forgot to add following my comment on JustRow. So that was 4326m which was an average pace of 2:18.6. My target was 2:20 so exhausted but pleased at the same time.
Got my Concept 2 thanks to you. I couldn’t do the 20 min at 22 spm. I had to stop after 15. Question: do I move to day 2-3 and do my best? Or it’s best to repeat day 1 until I can do it? Haven’t peeked further down the list but I feel maybe I should come back to row 20 when I’m in better shape.
Did you know this workout along with days 3,4, and 7 are missing from the 20 day playlist? You only have 16 days out of 20 in the playlist. Can you put them in please?
Hi Austin. I have a P5 monitor on my concept2 rower. The watts are displayed as a graph, can they be displayed numerically? Also what setting should the resistance be set at for this training video Thanks Chris
Hey there, I’m just wondering how straight to you keep your legs on the pullback end position/ beginning of return- do you lock your knees, to fully vertical? Also should I be using my inner thighs to maintain the straight leg on leaning back? I’m just starting out, and trying to get the right form. Thank you 🙏🏽
Where does wattage fit in? Im a bit confused and a newbie....is it best to pull as much wattage as possible doing this? Does that mean you go virtually further?
