I stopped going to OTF a month ago after 6 years and 5-6 days a week, bought a 2xs used water rower on fb marketplace for$200. I figured what the hell?! I've followed you for about 3 years and now I'm on body weights, day 9 of the 20 day row trying to earn my Aviron and prepping for my 25th wedding anniversary, and turning 50! Anyway, I wanted to say thanks for all the time and effort you put in. My rowing has totally improved, I'm stronger and completely in love with rowing! Coach Austin, you're the reason! Thanks Coach!

This workout sure showed the importance of pushing into the foot plates. I also liked how you had us focus on various techniques you have taught us before like shoulders down, lean forward, etc..

A great workout for the core. This is the second time I’ve done this one and I felt so much more confident than I did the first time. Could really feel my feet connecting with the machine. Thanks Austin.

Always wanted to try feet out, glad it was a full day here. Found it so hard for me to lean far back without feeling like I was gonna eat it 😝

Hey man I have a question: During feet out I noticed that when I tried to push hard, at the end of my stroke my feet (especially toes) were floating, am I supposed to keep feet down completely at the end of the stroke? The question is also relevant for when I put my feet back in the straps. Thankyou🙏🙏

After falling back the very first row action with my feet out by the 2nd row I realised how much I usually use the straps. Only 4087m though at 2:26.8 average pace.

How to increase the difficulty level . It feels very easy and less effective while doing. Please somebody advise
@trainingtall

You have to PUSH harder with each stroke. You are taking strokes with only light intensity… to make rowing harder you have to PUSH BACK HARDER, if that makes sense. Please review more of my technique videos to better understand.

Jesus bro you’re not even breaking a sweat or having a hard time talking. I’m gasping here lol. What was your average watts here do you think? I was like 118-120. Im only rowing 1 month though.
@trainingtall
@trainingtall 9 месяцев назад
I average usually ~180-200 watts while coaching. That’s moderate intensity for me, so that I CAN coach. The workouts are for you guys, not me, that’s why I’m not sweating!

@@trainingtall lol yeah but still dude. We appreciate it. I honestly got my rower because I saw one of your vids a couple months ago and figured rowing was going to be the only way I’d ever do cardio again in my 40’s since I can’t stand running and don’t have a pool I want to get in ;)
