Roy Oswalt was one of the best pitchers of his era, but rarely gets the recognition he deserves. A workhorse, he placed in the top 5 of the Cy Young voting five times in his career, and helped lead the Houston Astros to their first ever World Series appearance.

It's an honor to know Roy. I can remember being on the ball field with him when we were all in grade school. Great guy!!!

People always talk about Nolan Ryan, but Oswalt gave so much to the Astros in his tenure. I still consider him the true Astros Ace for his longevity and postseason success

Roy was amazing. I watched him in round Rock and I watched him all throughout his career in the majors. He would work quickly and efficiently. I've literally seen so much Roy pitching that I knew what Brad ausmus would call for him

This is some small town comic book hero type shit. Car shocks him better. Goals to buy a bulldozer. I knew I loved Roy as a pitcher, but damn thats too good.

A very consistent and workmanlike pitcher. Had many good years in H town.

I remember getting the privilege of watching this man pitch back in the 2000's. He was indeed dominant for his career. Sometimes really miss seeing him pitch on the mound. Thank you for the trip back in time.

Many memories of watching him when I was a kid. He's in the Astros & Mississippi Sports HOF, so there's that!

Love me some Roy Oswalt. Hate me some old Astros uniforms. Who thought that reddish brown was a good idea man

I like those rather than the new ones because, ya know, too many bad memories created by the AL Stros.

I keep seeing/hearing "lower than Roy Halladay, lower than Roy Hallady". Do you mean the Roy Halladay that pitched in the AL Beast? Yanks, Bosox and even the Ray's.. nuff said.

Ask Pujols about Roy. Lmao he owned him and he threw at him constantly!! Pitchers batted back then!!! Guy had balls.
