Even though Royce had bars on this, what really got me excited was him singing. It showed he is progressing and becoming more comfortable and that's dope.

An incredible album. An easy 9 at least. Royce's Magnum Opus. The lack of attention on this masterpiece is pretty damn shameful. Storytelling is as good as GKMC. Every element of the album is top notch. AOTY so far.

I think Royce would have been huge if he had done this in the beginning. He says that was his mistake because he didn't get personal. I think Wu said "Don't make them like you, make them love you." This album is amazing. No matter how big this album is he's getting a lot of respect and praise, I'm happy for him.

Right before Mike mentioned Legendary, I knew he was going to say it, that track is truly unique I had to play it a couple times in awe before proceeding through the album. Book of Ryan is a classic.

I love DEHH for the variety of views you guys give to a whole range of music, I don't come here to seek validation for my own opinion (although usually Myke and I seem to align haha) but god damn it feels good to hear ALL OF YOU show so much love for this album. It’s a fucking masterpiece and I love that no one baulked at the GKMC comparison. Could have done without some of the songs at the end but that is a minor gripe. Royce has been so criminally under-rated for so long, and Feefo said it best, who the fuck else in the game has gotten THIS much better in time? Most cats fall off but Royce somehow getting better and better. He has always been an incredible rapper but he has just evolved to another level now with his song writing. Royce himself said that Joe Budden had an impact on his ability to get introspective, so kudos to that man. Sobriety and therapy have undoubtedly helped too. Royce is also more effortless with his flow now, there was a brief period there after the BME album where I felt he was just trying to cram too many syllables into each bar and imo just didn’t sound right . He was still incredibly dope but it was beginning to get tiresome. The crazy thing is I heard him say as much in a recent interview and I was impressed with his self awareness and honesty. The evolution (metamorphosis) began with Layers and is now complete with this album. He has now mastered the effortless flow with precise technical rapping and has used that within incredible song concepts throughout an entire project. Royce deserves RESPECT. The man is a beast.

One thing i think you didn't address though was i feel like the album was great but it could have been better if royce would have given us a little more. For example strong friends and dumb and a few othrers i feel would have been made better by one more Royce verse that beingsaid i loved the album

One thing I noticed was there were subtle hints for Em releasing a new album on Caterpillar, so I started getting hyped for a dope Em album. Then I realized that Royce said the album was done when Layers was released. Oh god, Em was trying to hype up Revival.

Great album indeed ! I'm so glad I listened to my friend when he constantly tried putting me on Royce's music. I made a perfect choice.

This album is the classic Royce always wanted to make.

This was my favorite album so far this year.

I understand that they were away for a while because of personal time constraints, and the building of the studio. With that being said, I think that it would really benefit everyone is they went back to albums that were released earlier that they have missed. I believe they have missed two great albums from Skyzoo(In Celebration of Us), and Saba (Care For Me). In addition I was hoping they would have reviewed Sylvan Lacue's (Apologies in Advance) and Jericho Jackson. I think they may find themselves surprised by how many people have enjoyed those four projects.

Yep definitely my favorite Royce album since Street Hop.

It's very rare that a song makes me tear up, but Strong Friends hit me hard as someone who's been dealing with depression and suicidal thoughts for most of my life. This is my easy AOTY so far, Royce is one of the greatest ever to do it and this may well be his best work to date.

Boogie is a rapper from Compton, and he's super dope. His most recent album, Thirst 48, Pt.2 is super cool, and his older stuff is nice too. Dude can spit, and has a good ear for beats.
