RPS Hawk 250 changing things up / #6 Digital gauge with Tachometer 

RJ you are the man. The speedo on my Hawk coughed up the first time I hit 55 MPH. I tore the cluster apart when the gas gauge died at around 1000mi on the bike and found the resistor had broken off. I soldiered it back on put the works back together but of coarse the speedo still was not working so I found the very same unit you installed. I like how your mind works brother. I got my Hawk in Aug. (2018) and have 1500 mi on it - the instrument cluster is the only issue I've had with it. Thanks for the excellent video. You've done this better than anyone else with this speedo unit.

On my hawk I installed an analog tach mounted it to a screw on the handle bar clamp. It was a small eBay one bout $13.

Hi Thier great video I have tried hooking my rpm wire up to my coil but it will not work . Do you have any idea were I should hook it up to? Any help would be greatly apprecieted

FUEL GAUGE Some of the posts on this and other videos state that grounding the fuel gauge wire (blue and white) will cause the fuel gauge to stop flashing. With my ones (3 of them) this was not the case. I have found that you need to ground it via a resistance of between 30 to 500 ohm. Anything more or less wont have any effect. 500ohm displays 1 bar (of 8) i.e. almost empty. 30ohm displays 8 bars (full). (about 330ohm is half full etc.) So if grounding the fuel wire doesn't work for you, try grounding it through a resistor between 30 and 500 ohms.

Did u decide to upgrade because your gas gauge stop working because my gauge stop working don’t kno how to fix it

i got the same speedometer as here in the video and went to put it on my vader gen 2 and my fuel light and battery light just flashes. 1 day old battery and 1 month old bike.

Im installing mine now. I noticed the yellow and white wire on mine isn't neutral it's 5th gear so I have to fix that. The other thing is the magnets don't clear the brake pad so I'm trying to find somewhere else to mount them. I also don't want to drill into my rotor. I'll work on a video.

Do you have any idea why I cannot enter the first interface? I only can enter the 123 to modify the second interface. When I turn on the speedo having the back button long pressed i can see a set of cccc but not the numbers to modify the circumference, number of cylinder, etc. Do you have any idea why this is happening? I bought it on eBay. And a s my bike's wiring didn't match the speedo's, I had to cut and re wire it, following the diagram.

Mine lights up but I can't get the neutral light to work. I've tried all these functions on these vids, but it won't go into settings mode whatever I try. Does anyone know if there is a reset funtion?
