I remember seeing this movie when I was in 3rd or 4th grade. All the kids in our elementary saw it. A bunch of us were so impressed that we started running regularly. I think we all envisioned being tracks stars and winning a gold medal, and for certain, not dying of a heart attack. I stopped running several years ago because of a bad knee, however, I often bike 100+ miles per week, and I’m glad I do. I’m convinced it’s made me much stronger and healthier than I would have been otherwise regardless if I live one year longer for all my running and biking.
